I want Valero next for PacMan!
This is remind me of Zelenoff without the cursing.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VpWm9wcen4E
5 oppenents with ZERO wins
4 other oppenents with 3 or less win
5 other oppenent with less 8 or less win
1 oppennet with an undefeated record was a 7-0-1 fighter.
ZERO 30 or plus win oppenent.
Manny Pacman Pacquiao is a GIGANTIC STEP UP! Valero is in for a rude awakening. I want this fight to happen this November, I want to see the look in Valero's face when he finds out how it is to be in with a Real Elite Fighter.
IMO Valero's power is way overrated, all of his oppenent would be easy k.o wins for pac. Im sure Valero could never knock out or drop some of pacs oppenent who pac has ko'ed or dropped.
I don't think anybody can really compare valero's power to pac, IMO PACS POWER IS FORREAL. Valero is just hyped.
I really hope they make this fight happen this NOVEMBER. I want pac to ktfo Valero.
Whats you guys prediction and explain?

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
gotta disagree, I don't think Valero's power is overrated at all, skill wise He's not as good as Pac but he does have the punch that could take him out. wouldn't be surprised to see an upset in this one

Nope I don't see valero hurting pac at all. Pac took the best of JMM and IMO JMMs power is way stronger than Valero. People don't understand JMM's knock out win ratio is nearly dead tied with pacs. People lable jMm as a great counterer but forget the guys power punch is up there with the best.
ONly thing going for valero is his power, which is overhyped. I hope this happens this november so valero's hype can end and the rest of you can come to your senses ;)

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
I would take into consideration level of competition but even more so the quality of rounds Valero has had.He can crack but I think Pac would dissect him as the rounds build. His defense is .....sparse & he looks wide and badly over reaches at times.
I had read that Texas has Granted him a clearance to fight there??

Yea same thing I hear, he can fight in Texas.
I think come fight night valero's punching will have little to no affect on pac, pac has taken everything from the best punchers in the world and hasn't been drop since he was a bantamweight. Pac is now a lightweight, not only is pac power foreal his chin is solid. the ko he suffered early in his career were from the lowest weight classes. Being drain makes fighter weaker but being in the division they suit more makes them stronger. Pac and Cotto is two great recent examples of rock hard body and chin going up in weight.
I think VAlero is soft, most fighters that get overhype due to there power usually fold under real pressure. I think pac is going to scrape valero up for a few rounds then knock him out.

I hear ya but Don't get me wrong,I don't think Pac should go in and make it a who has the hardest chin contest. He should fight smart, look to box and let Valero come forward in spotsl.I think Pac can exploit Valeros leaky defense bigtime early on & when the timing is right but Pac also needs to respect the pure power of an hungry undefeated Champion.

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
Julius my friend, regardless of how crappy Valero's opponents are except Mosquera his punching power is undeniable.
Pac also fought BUMS early in his career but he wasnt able to take them out in 1 round, 18 first round consecutive kayos and 100% kayo ratio is Guiness book of world records type stuff.
I agree PAC should box smartly here ala PAC-DIAZ (even more cautiously).

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
Barry McGuigan says Valero is one of the best p4p fighters in the world
Experts eh?

Pac and Valero's resume can not be compared, valero is already 27 and his still fighting BUM's pac by 24 already brutally defeated marco. Pac always had the better oppenents since day one of pacs career. They never put anybody in with valero that had a pulse til he couldn't beat the 19 straight 1st round record. They hyped valero up like that but only after he couldn't get the record did they test valero just a little with mosquera. Thats actually valero's only good win and his already going up near 30 years of age. Talk about pampered record man.

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
If my sole interest in the sport was to see Pacquiao win fights, I'd want him to fight Valero next to. I think it's a complete mismatch. Valero is to easy to hit, has some questions around his own chin, way to slow to catch Manny with anything he shouldn't see. I do understand if the fight is made though, pretty much everyone else is tied up right now, wouldn't be a bad fight if it was made soon-ish. I think Guzman is the man to beat Pacquiao at LW. Maybe Juan Diaz or Campbell could give him a run as well, I kind of doubt it though. We'll see how Guzman does against NAte.

I agree but i do think it is a reasonable fight until the big boys at Lightweight get finished with there fights, and until Hatton takes care of Paulie. But i haven't ever really been impressed with Valero's power a majority of the time his KO's have come from a barrage of punches by coming out and swarming the opponent. As i've said before i think Valero is the new Daniel Ponce De Leon although not as strong as De Leon but pretty much the same IMO as in there both very limited. I think Valero gets crushed by Pacquiao unless he lands a very lucky punch, his defense is too leaky, he hasn't got good punching technique IMO he just swings for the fences, and he is far too slow and no one can stand toe to toe with Pacquiao at the moment and survive. And as for Joan Guzman i think he is very skilled and would give Pacquiao fits stylistically i think he is the worst fighter for Pacquiao to fight except Juan Manuel Marquez IMO.

Thats why his KO percentage isn't higher i was watching a few of his early fights a few days ago and i noticed he had a low KO percentage, but thats because he was still a boy, even Kelly Pavlik said when he was a boy he wasn't a puncher until he become a man.

Your talking like a pure hater. You either don't know or choose to ignore the fact that Valero until recently was not allowed to fight in the US. That right there is to blame for his poor opposition. Name a good fighter that would of gone to Japan and fought him? You can't. Cuz nobody would of done it. Valero has faced a lot of bums. But he's done what he's suppose to do with them. He's destroyed them. You can deny Valero's power if you want. But the great Erik Morales himself said Valero can punch. And Erik Morales opinion carries a lot more weight than yours.

So your saying just cause a fighter never fights in the US he gonna have poor opposition. What about the U.K fighters? Valero could of done a lot better going places to places like winky did when he wasn't gettting the respect in the u.s. Mexico,Europe,Asia. in fact thats a featherweight champion named chris john in asia. why couldn't valero go up and see him? he went up and saw mosq but im pretty sure adding chris john would of been a lot better then the other 23 bums on his resume.
yea eric said he can punch but thats in sparring. valero is sparring mate to eric and mab for preparation to pac. That should tell you his level compared to pac. a sparing mate, valero is just a sparring mate.

Valero has never fought at 126 in his life. Why would he drop down to that weight and travel to Indonesia to fight Chris John. How much sense would that make? Every one saw what happened to Marquez when he went over there. And you can't compare Winky situation to Valero. Winky got no respect in the US cuz of his fighting style. Valero couldn't get licensed in the US. Big difference.

he said he'd drop to 126 before for pac back when pac was still down in that division. And everybody was like valero is going to knock pac out. He could of drop down and knock john out no problem if his hype is that real. unlike jmm valero wouldn't let it go to the decision right?
yea i can't compare winky and valero, winky is a great fighter.

Asking Valero to drop to 126 to fight Chris John is like asking Pavlik to drop to 154 to fight Cory Spink (if he was still champion). It makes no sense. And it's dumb. People want to see Valero fight. Nobody wants to see John fight. Valero is the bigger name. A big puncher. Big names and big punchers don't drop down in weight to fight runners.

No. I think Pac will win a one-sided fight if he boxes. If he trades with him he gives Valero his only chance of winning. And yes I do think Valero has the power to hurt Pac. But it won't happen. Pac is not a stupid fighter. He won't fight Valero's fight. There is no need too.

Yep me too, It really depends who gets hit first, Pac is well schooled, But he does get hit and Valero can hit.... But so can Pac, I give the edge to Pac but Valero has a very good chance.

Re: I want Valero next for PacMan!
I remember when this fight was 1st tought of late 2006.
I couldn't stop laughing at the people who were actually thinking about it. I mean Valero had just won a title and the best opponent he had faced was Mosquera.
It was a bad idea then I still think it's a bad idea now.
On any other ocassion I would say that the fighter (in this case Pac) does not need a gimmie fight since Pac already had one with Diaz. But being that this is Pac and he's fought top caliber fighters I guess Pac can get away with it.
But my POV is that Pac blasts him out badly, just as bad as Diaz. If he doesnt it would be because Pac would be too cautios of Valeros power.

I wouldn't say Diaz was a gimme Hell David was the bigger man, But Pac did make him look like a gimme ;D

To me it was a gimmie having seen Diaz fight since 2004 I pretty much knew what was going to happen.
What Pac did here was like if Joan Guzman moved up in weight and fought Yusuke Kobori or something like that...
Did you see Diazs horrible performance vs. Montana in his prep fight for Pac? He looked slow which he is and he just didn't look the part.
Holt outboxed him and then sparked em out.
As I said in another thread to me this is like when PBF moved up in weight and fought Gatti. Anyone who PRIOR to the fight didn't see what was coming MUST have been blind.

I see what you mean about his power but I'd still be shocked to see him beat Pac.
