Ex-girlfriend files lawsuit against Alomar - MLB - Yahoo! Sports
Alomar was the man when he was in his prime. I'm hoping this is just a case of a biitch wanting money and making up lies. But one thing that I always wonder about him was why he declined so fast. I mean he seemed to get old quick. He was an all star at 33. At 34 he was done. At 36 he was out of Baseball.
That is something. He was a blue jay.
I hope that's not true. When I was young and just getting into baseball (which was late compared to the rest of the sports) I would watch a lot of the Indians and Reds and Vizquel and Alomar are still imo the best double play combination I've ever seen.
I heard this today on the radio,sad shite.They mentioned he spit in the face of a referee once and now the ref had no hard feelings against Alomar.Fawka better get tested himself.Wasn't his brother a player as well.Sandy??

John Hirschbeck was the umpire and after a called 3rd strike Alomar decided it would be the right time to say that Hirschbeck had been bitter ever since one son died of Addison-Schilder Disease and another had been diagnosed with the disease.
Roberto Alomar is a pice of shit and he deserves the worst.....his brother Sandy Alomar Jr. was a decent player and didn't seem to bother anyone to the point that Robbie did.

Well I talked to my friend again this morning, and she let me know that it really bothered her, so she called her friend who is married to Sandy Alomars ex-wife, and who is close to Robbie, and said that it's all bull$hit. In her suit she's saying shit like he had to have a spinal tap to find out if he was HIV, and of course we all know that all you need is a blood test. She was also saying shit about him foaming at the mouth, and having all these sores in his mouth, and he said that was all bull$hit as well. She claims that he stopped playing ball because of this, which is not true, he stopped because of his back problems, which is something everyone knew about.
This chick was still married to her husband when she moved in with Robbie, and just wanted the use of his money, and was pissed off as hell when he ended things with her.

Lyle, how can you possibly objectively rate double play combos you didn't even see first hand? you're naming guys that were alive a hundred years ago? Come on. Not even baseball writers can objectively rate those guys.

I watched those guys....and I don't know what kind of fools you are but Ozzie Smith was 10 times better than Omar Vizquel. Robbie Alomar wasn't all that at 2nd base either, anytime he played on a team they already had a GREAT shortstop Vizquel, CAL RIPKIN....Tony Fernandez was a damn good player as well.
....also most of those guys are HALL OF FAMERS and Robbie Alomar isn't and won't even be mentioned in the voting of Hall of Famers.
Reese AND Robinson are in the hall....is that not enough to say they are better? Pee Wee isn't in there for hitting either you better believe that.
Dunston was underrated. He had a fukking cannon for an arm. But you reaching on Herr. He was good. But Alomar smashes him. Easily.Quote:

Alomar didn't spend a lot of time on the same team with Tony Fernandez. At least not with Toronto. He came to the Jays from San Diego with Joe Carter for Fernandez and McGriff. Sure they had great pitching. Lets not forget relievers Tom Henke and Duane Ward. But they also had awesome hitting as well. with guys like Winfield, Paul Molitor, Alomar, Joe Carter, George Bell, Olerud, Gruber, Fernandez briefly in '93. Let's not forget the best defensive center fielder in the game, Devon White. The two glory years of 92 & 93 the had three or four guys all hitting well over .300 and 100 RBIs. They particulary showed strong late inning offense in the first playoffs against stoppers such as Oakland's Dennis Eckersley and Atlanta's Jeff Reardon. Alomar himself hit a huge 2-run homer vs Eckersley to tie a very key ALCS game in the 9th inning. He also showed some excellent baserunning. Not to the mention the Jays blowing the doors off of the Phillies closer Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams the following year. Honestly, I can't remember what the infield defense did during those World series. But Alomar with all those Gold gloves was an awesome 2nd baseman for Toronto, let there be no doubt about that.Quote:
