Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Screw it, I want it to happen, and now I've convinced myself that it will happen, somewhere between the second and the fourth Wlad goes down and stays down.
Right hand.
And the world will be a better place

Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Freddie Roach said Oscar wouldnt last 9 rounds with Pac and then said the fight with Ricky wouldnt go 3 rounds so perhaps we should ask Freddie.;D
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
I still don't think he could beat Vitali, unfortunately.
but then again Vitali's just getting older and is fragile as hell.

Roach was also right in the Diaz fight. The guy is creepy.

This is how I feel. Haye can beat Wlad. See it happening 100%. Wlad is a fraud. Its a fucking disgrace watching a guy fight who is afraid of being punched. He can't jab his way to victory because Haye won't let it happen. I agree he wouldn't beat Vitali, but I think Haye will embarrass Wlad in a big way.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
If he can hit him he can put him down and keep him down.
If Haye is land to do what he is capable of I don't think Wlad stays awake, for me it's more of a question of whether Haye can deal with/elude what Wlad can throw at him and whether he can actually land on Wlad.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
How do you feel Haye can stop Wlad from beating him with the jab? He is great at countering over the jab, but Wlad is equally good at not getting countered.
Also I think Wlad gets a bad wrap, people used to feel he was too eager and left himself open which he did considering his bad chin. Should he not at all costs stop people from punching him? I think he tried the first time around to be the great champion everyone wanted him to be, but he doesn't ahve the chin for that. WIth his new style he is still effective, and when he knows he can take a punch like agianst Thompson he definitely will take a shot to land one.

Anything can happen, but I think he has weakened his chances with the one heavyweight tuneup fight.
I mean he should have at least fought a taller heavyweight in another tuneup. If Haye can get inside he might do some damage, but can he get inside?
He may have pissed off Wlad enough though to make Wlad fight reckless. If Wlad fights pissed off, Hayes chances increase quite a bit IMO.

I agree to an extent, but I think he should be able to assert himself more whilst still avoiding getting hit. What he did to Sultan for the majority of their fight went well beyond boxing clever.

Exactly. Sultan was too small to get close and Wlad could have finished it, but instead opted against and decided to bore the fans. Haye has been saying both Klitschko's are a joke but on that I disagree. I have the utmost respect for Vitali. He is a true champion. Wlad is there for the taking though.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Did Klitschko not win every round against a guy who could give Haye a really tough fight? Ibragimov got silver in the olympics, he is has good speed, boxing skills, he's southpaw, has decent power, and is only an inch shorter than Haye. It was Wlad's speed and ability to dictate range that made Ibragimov so ordinary.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
I'm feelin a Haye win inside a very short distance too OumaFan. Speed kills, that was what mike tyson was always taught by cus, and Haye has the speed with the power to stop Wlad. I witnessed something on saturday that involved a bigger man, and i was convinced he'd have too much. I now have much more respect for the speed and the timing of a so called smaller man.

I would love it to happen too & if Haye is to win, he's going to have to spark Wladimir early, as I don't think he has the stamina for a long fight & he'll just end up getting jabbed into oblivion.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Anyone know who Haye is sparring with?
And this would make a reat 24/7 HBO series. They should do it quickly!
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
I hope Haye does it but I have a hard time seeing it. Wlad will not be looking to knock out Haye despite what he says. He will work the jab and try to bank rounds by doing the minimal work he can. It's all about Haye managing to get around the jab and land clean on Wlad which is not easy because Wlad can be very safety first. Especially against a puncher like Haye.
Hopefully, Wlad loses the plot and we get a war, but if not it could be a long nights work for Haye.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
I think Wladimir SAYS he'll drag Haye around for 12 rounds and KO him at the end....I think Wladimir is going to try and use some mind games of his own and KO Haye early.

I agree, Sultan may not be an exciting fighter but he was a good boxer who had a sturdy chin, Better then Hayes I would put money on
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
I would say possible but very unlikely, Haye can complain about Wlad's jab but he doesn't seem to realize that his jab is like an hydraulic piston and that he can't out-power him. I say Wlad by K.O around the seven.

I don't see why not David Haye is the most dangerous opponent Wladimir Klitschko, has faced since Corrie Sanders that combine Speed/Power. It all comes down to whoever lands there right hand first, there both suspect in the stamina and chin department.
The only thing Wladimir Klitschko has in his favor, is a big advantage in the defense department, but still i think its a very pick em fight and it could go either way.

Sorry but Sultan Ibragimov fought so defensively against Wladimir Klitschko it wasn't even funny. And Wladimir Klitschko wasn't much better i don't see the comparison.
Sultan Ibragimov doesn't bring the kind of danger David Haye does with power, and lets be frank here why does everyone feel Sultan Ibragimov is so good ?
He was dropped against Ray Austin and fought him to a life and death draw. He won a pretty poor decision over a fighter that can't fight for more than 10 seconds of a round, and possibly the worst title holder in the history of the Heavyweight division aka Shannon Briggs.
And then Sultan Ibragimov won by about 5 rounds against a 44 year old Evander Holyfield, who hasn't been good since the late 90's. So tell me what is that good about Sultan Ibragimov ? because i honestly don't see why the Wladimir Klitschko fans rant about him so much.

Haye real power hasn't been significantly tested in the HW division, the only opponent he had was an ordinary guy riding the sunset of his career. Also, Wlad hits harder than Haye (more than likely), has weigfht advantage, height advantage, reach advantage, techincally more rounded and is at worst as fast as Haye. I think you're really underconsidering Wlad in that one or over-hyping Haye. Matter of fact, the only chance Haye has to win is to land a power bomb and hope that Wlad won't get up. it can happen, for sure, in the HW division's all possible but it is very unlikely, especially as Wlad went down 3 times against Peters, a thunderous puncher, and rose up everytime to win the match brilliantly.

I will be disapointed if Wlad KOs haye in early rounds. Imo he should/must punish/torture Haye for 11 rounds and put him out of his misery in 12.

Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
If anyones going down from a right it's gonna be Haye.
If Wlad goes down it'll more likely come from a hook or an upper.
Wlads gonna spark Haye out.

I just don't see it. Honestly don't know why people think Wlad is anything special. He's there for the taking, we just need a live body with a set of balls to go in and make a fight of it. I think Haye can do it early too. He's too fast for Wlad.

He beat Shannon Briggs easily, give me a break, and he had a bad night against Ray Austin. Did Haye not get ko'ed by Carl Thompson? Honestly watch Ibragimov, he has good countering ability, he moves well, he has excellent speed for a heavyweight, had he not retired IMO he would beat Samuel Peter, Chagaev, Eddie Chambers, and would give Povetchkin a good fight. Ibragimov doesn't hit as hard as Haye, I am not sure there are many heavyweight that have that true power David possesses, but he does hit hard enough to badly hurt Klitschko if he had caught him cleanly on the chin.
Do you know why Ibragimov couldn't get off? Or Chris Byrd? Or the other guys who were fast that faced Wladimir? Because Wlad when he throws his jab is very hard to counter, it is a much quicker jab than people appreciate and it lands like a hammer.
The fact is both Klitschko and Haye are both exceptionally special fighters with three major flaws
1) No chin
2) lack of stamina
3) Could have better defensive skills(Klitschko could be taken off this list as of late).
I don't think this is a definite win for Klitschko, David Haye is the fastest and most athletic fighter he will have ever faced, and going against what I used to believe probably has the best knockout power, he might not literally hit as hard as Brewster or Sanders or Peter, but with that speed and accuracy he lands harder than anyone I've seen since Tyson.

Haye's main sparring partner is David Price, a 6 foot 8 heavyweight olympic medalist recently turned pro from Liverpool.

Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Haye takes out Wlad in less than four LOL only if Wlad comes in with a cast on his left arm a patch on his right eye and his BAC is .30. Be for real Haye is the same chump that got put on his ass by a little French man (Jean Marc Mormeck) nothing has changed but Haye's weight and mouth size. And I don't see where he's so fast except to run his riff raff mouth. And I don't think he deserves a shot at any HW title, he should fight his way up like the other CWs that moved to HW in the past. Ohhhh and I feel, no I know Ibragimov would have out worked and KO'd the mouth. peace out mofo
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Speed kills and size isn't what it seems to be. We have all witnessed this with all kinds of fights and fights of this year in particular.
Hatton (size) Pacquiao (speed)
Margarito (size) Mosley (speed)
Diaz (size) Marquez (not really known for his speed, but you get my point the bigger man lost)
These have been the three biggest fights of the year thus far. Power has lost all three times. My mind has been set, I'm going with Haye in the upset.
-
Re: Why not, Haye takes out Wlad in less than four
Here's Haye at Heavyweight against number 11 ranked Bonin. He looked a lot better here then he did against Barrett.

Why doesn't he use that jab more?

Sorry but i think your way off the mark with the Samuel Peter comment, when has Samuel Peter shown he is a "Thunderous Puncher". He's shown he can KO C+ fighters like Jeremy Williams. But when he stepped up in class he hasn't stopped anyone except for Oleg Maskaev, who is for certain suspect in the chin department considering he has been stopped in all 6 of his losses.
I don't get why Samuel Peter has the rep of a huge puncher i really don't. His punching power has never impressed me except when he KO'ed C+ fighters. And his punch technique is horrible and slow, 2 of his knockdowns against Wladimir Klitschko wern't even knockdowns, they were sloppy rabbit punches. I don't see how you can get real good technique and power by looping shots that wide.
David Haye has much better punch technique, more explosive power. And as i said its the most dangerous opponent Wladimir Klitschko has fought since Corrie Sanders. Yes David Haye hasn't knocked out any top Heavyweights i agree. But too me i think he did atleast show all of his attributes including his explosive power has carried up to Heavyweight.

I never said he didn't beat Shannon Briggs easily on the scorecards, what im trying too prove here is that its only Shannon Briggs. One of the worst title holders in the history of boxing, who can only fight for 20 seconds of the round.
What does it prove beating him and why do you think Sultan Ibragimov is that good ? get any top Heavyweight in the 90's and they would of destroyed that version of Shannon Briggs within 5 rounds. And you say he had a bad night against Ray Austin ?
That sounds like a pretty poor excuse and i think your only saying that, because that proves Sultan Ibragimov isn't that good to begin with. Yes he is a decent boxer who is pretty durable. But he isn't as good as the Wladimir Klitschko fans make out, and he certainly doesn't bring the danger element David Haye does.
Yes David Haye did lose to Carl Thompson, but that was when he was very inexperienced he battered, Carl Thompson from pillar to post. Then run out of steam and his corner threw in the towel. It was similar to Wladimir Klitschko's loss to Ross Purrity when he run out of steam.
But both of those fights were a blessing in disguise, because it made them both what they are today much better fighters. I do agree both fighters have weaknesses like suspect chins/suspect stamina's. But what i don't like what im hearing from some people is that David Haye has no chance when that isn't true.
As i said i think David Haye is the most dangerous opponent Wladimir Klitschko has fought since Corrie Sanders. And i think its a winnable fight for David Haye, im not saying David Haye will win for 100 percent, and Wladimir Klitschko has just as much chance of KO'ing David Haye. All im trying to say is that David Haye has a legit chance in this fight thats all im trying to argue.

All im trying to say is that David Haye has a legit chance in this fight thats all im trying to argue.
Don't worry ICB, I disagre about Ibragimov being a pretty solid fighter with good skills and speed. I agree with everything else though, and I really like both of these guys, Haye I think is dynamic and exciting and Wladimir Klitschko is the only guy I like to watch only throw a jab for 12 rounds because you know how hard it is landing, and its not easy controlling a guy even 4-5 inches shorter than you with just a jab.
