Ya I've seen it all over the place. She and her kind need a punch in the face.
They are the lowest common denominator. And somewhere a republican strategist is sitting back smirking at his work...
That woman has me rethinking my position on capital punishment and summary executions.
When I rule a small South American country (and I will), I am going to enact a rule by which I may execute whomever I please for the good of the gene-pool.
....Barney Frank is one of the reasons we're in the mess we're in
I wouldn't piss on Frank if he was on fire.
nothing wrong with what he does in this vid. Of course, he's a dem, so that's three strikes right there.
The interesting thing about the Hitler comparison is that Hitler completely stabilized Germany's economy on the back of it's reformulated super efficient auto industry.
Loved that.Don't really care what or who Frank plays with in the wee hours of the morning....he can be abrasive but flat out sat her down there. You drop that Nazi crutch in a discussion and you loss your legs.
I hadn't aimed it at you specifically no, It's kind of a joke that Lyle has seen before, but if you see yourself in my remark, then ask yourself why. I understand that most people would like to think that their politics were based on their opinions and not the other way around, that don't necessarily make it so.
OK, so you clearly don't like to be labelled or pigeonholed. Duly noted. But this is politics, and it's usually left or right. In order to avoid being labelled as such, consider not revealing so much of your politics, or is it just co-incidence that it one side in particular that just happens to share your beliefs. I see you prop up Palin and slam this dude, but I'll try and convince myself it has nothing to do with politics. uh huh.
Of course it has to do with politics but I think one can have an opinion on a politician in favor or against without it being soley based on that politicians party. The list of my country's leaders that I dislike goes well beyond any party affiliation. I don't think anyone likes being labeled and if I were to make an incorrect assumption I'd expect them to correct me.
I'm not a fan of just about any of the major Republican leaders. I don't like Grassely, Hutchinson, Mcconel or Demint all that much. I don't particularly care for Governor Perry. I think our last president and just about all of his cabinet minus Gates were crap. Especially just about anyone involved in the planning of the Iraq invasion. I can't stand Rush or Hannity. I tend to lean right on issues of states rights, size and scope of federal governemt, immigration and gun rights so yes politically I hold more of the same ideals as the GOP but very little of its current members are doing the right things. It really pisses me off that they (much like any party out of power) simply snipes at the President's policies w/o offering real genuine solutions to the problems our country faces. That being said I can disagree with a politician w/o personally disliking him. To me Frank comes off as a smug santimonious jerk any time I've heard him speak and I think his involvement with Fannie Mae borders on criminal. CGM wasn't speaking to me personally so I was wrong to retort the way I did but his post coming directly after me definitely insinuated that to dislike Frank must be based on his party affiliation.
Fair enough, I'm not really a fan of anyone at the moment. I don't hear anything from either side that makes me say "I can get behind that". I think Frank is by far and large is a douche, but in this instance one thing he said that I wish people would listen to is "You can be mad and still have a rational debate"
Barney Frank is a bit of a dick, but to be honest he's a 100% right, that woman is fuckin idiot, anyone who compares Obama with Hitler is a asshole of the highest order.
Barney Frank is a fat queen.
yes. so?
lol
that is the thing. most of us (left leaning obv, not the moral superior righty base  )don 't care if a person takes it in the butt, so long as that don't somehow equate to them being a lying manipulator, lowest form of socially judgemental hypocrite. Ya know, like them red state folks who are all against the bad sex stuff and all, yet run the highest amount of porn activity on the web. Who get in positions like child advocacy, then start trying to hook up with their sexy young boy interns, etc etc. Then cry like that Fukhead Jimmy Swaggart when caught with the midget taking a shit on their chest (LOL or w/e happened) and beg forgiveness in the name of God, so they can get back to doing what they do. Judging others. And ya know, making the world a better place one false self-modelled moral judgement at a time and calling it politics. According to some fake ass god fabricated in the minds of their limited intelligence and understanding. ;)
But this is just a bit of light-hearted musing. Not passing judgements. :lolhaha:

No, as has already been explained to you before. I'd ask you to refresh your memory as to the facts and evidence but not doing so helps you maintain your record of being always wrong about everything.
And as far as the video clip goes well done Barney Frank. It's just so depressing to see roomfulls of outraged mainly pensioners yelling at politicians to keep the government's hands off their Medicare. There's no way that these people are going to listen to facts and evidence, much less understand them, so Frank's reaction is the right and proper one under the unfortunate circumstances. It's a shame politicians and the media have to conduct national debates on things like healthcare on an almost fact-free, Janet and John level but the bottom line is that that's where the median national IQ level sits, unfortunately.
Like I said, I already explained it to you to the point you ended up agreeing with me. But there's something in your head that just can't accept facts and evidence and always goes for the wrong in any given situation. Even when facts and evidence are temporarily inserted in there it boots them out asap leaving no trace of them for future reference.
Go on then, I'll bite. Explain how F and F caused the current situation and how Barney Frank, somebody with effectively zero political power when the bubble was growing (as the committee was GOP-controlled along with all three branches of government) caused the problems that F and F have. Use facts and evidence in your answer only, no dumbass videos allowed.
Kirk,
Frank has been a member of the House Financial Services Committee since 1991 (and is currently the chair). The HFSC is one of two government entities responsible for oversight of Fannie Mae. From 1991 to 1998, Barney Frank was in a romantic relationship with Herb Moses, who was an executive at Fannie Mae. I understand the housing industry collapse is bigger than this single issue but wouldn't you say he was in a position to be monitoring the housing loan industry and had a clear conflict of interests?
Yes. But he was in no position to do anything about the deregulation of various parts of the financial system that caused the meltdown, the GOP running the committee during the formation of the bubble. F and F only played a bit part in the meltdown and if they'd never have existed the meltdown would have happened exactly the same. All the vitriol thrown at F and F, Barney Frank, Jimmy Carter etc. since the meltdown happened is because they're the only vague tangential things that can be used to blame the left or the Democrats for the financial collapse. But in reality, when you look at the facts and the evidence, they had nothing to do with it. Frank had a conflict of interest, so what. Every committee member has one, they all get campaign donations from financial firms. It's what they do on that committee when they're running it that counts. Frank wasn't running it till 2007 by which time the bubble was bursting and it was too late to do anything. You can blame him for not doing anything 2002-7 when the problem was forming and nothing was being regulated, but you then also have to blame everybody else on the committee but especially the people who ran it and had the power, the GOP members. Blaming Frank makes as much sense as the loony blaming of Jimmy Carter.
...well Carter did start the program that eventually became the monster we see today.
nah bud, you weren't wrong in speaking your mind. I was just a little skeptical that there was no political motivation at all in your remarks. But don't take that personally. I have noticed your participation in political debates, and I see a tendency to a certain side of the political spectrum, and that should come as a surprise. If I were to examine all of my own remarks I might have to say something similar about myself.
Anyways, this is politics. At the end of the day there should be no hard feelings.
Yes Lyle. It's all Jimmy Carter's fault.
EDIT: just to add about the IQ thing, that's not me being superior or anything, Britain is exactly the same. It looked like people were going to start paying attention on both sides of the Atlantic when the financial crisis broke and they realised they were going to get shafted for a lot of money but after a week or two they just went back to watching Pop Idol. It's a real shame we can't gt people to pay attention and actually follow what's going on, it'd make it har for them to get fucked a la Malinaggi all the time.
I used to live in Barney Frank's district. Mostly I can't stand him and I happy that just outside his heavily gerrymandered district. And though I support universal coverage, I happen to think Obama's plan is poorly thought out and that he's not being honest with the public about what the plan really is. He is once again showing that he's more style than substance who is great at inspiring but poor at leading. That being said, it is an insult everybody who died in the holocaust and fought against the Nazi's to compare Obama to Hitler, even if it's satirical. I don't think she was even being satirical.
You can't have an honest debate about anything if you are going to base it emotionally charged language, draw ridiculous false analogies, and create hysterical exaggerations. I don't blame Frank for saying what he did, but as a US representative, he should have shown more class. That's not about liberal or conservative. He should have pointed out that it was poor question based on a false premise and asked her to rephrase her question civil and adult manner and if she couldn't do that, asked her politely to be quiet.
It's really too bad that universities no longer require a course in LOGIC as a part of their core. Then maybe people could recognize more of the strawman, slippery slope, and red herring arguments that are put out as propaganda. Trust me, this often applies to the crap liberals put out all the time just as much, if not more, than the far-right.
So what? He's an idiot from the ultimate limousine liberal district. You're first point about him being a big part about what screwed the economy was good. Saying that makes you sound like a bigot. You're too better than that, Lyle.
Instead, why not point out the closest this country has ever come to universal health care was a Nixon plan, supported by Ted Kennedy, that was killed by LIBERAL labor unions who did not want to lose health insurance as a bargaining chip and didn't give a damn about the non-union working class.
If Obama had any stones at all, he's answer back with cold hard facts instead of trying to create a single payer plan in a backdoor, sleazy way (and I promise you, that what will we will have in 10 years if this thing goes through). Only it won't work, because it's not being done right. If that's what you want, go out on the line and say it. The solution to the problem is clear as day, but neither side wants to lead on the issue and everybody is clouding the debate will emotion and foolishness.
