I hadn't aimed it at you specifically no, It's kind of a joke that Lyle has seen before, but if you see yourself in my remark, then ask yourself why. I understand that most people would like to think that their politics were based on their opinions and not the other way around, that don't necessarily make it so.
OK, so you clearly don't like to be labelled or pigeonholed. Duly noted. But this is politics, and it's usually left or right. In order to avoid being labelled as such, consider not revealing so much of your politics, or is it just co-incidence that it one side in particular that just happens to share your beliefs. I see you prop up Palin and slam this dude, but I'll try and convince myself it has nothing to do with politics. uh huh.

Of course it has to do with politics but I think one can have an opinion on a politician in favor or against without it being soley based on that politicians party. The list of my country's leaders that I dislike goes well beyond any party affiliation. I don't think anyone likes being labeled and if I were to make an incorrect assumption I'd expect them to correct me.

I'm not a fan of just about any of the major Republican leaders. I don't like Grassely, Hutchinson, Mcconel or Demint all that much. I don't particularly care for Governor Perry. I think our last president and just about all of his cabinet minus Gates were crap. Especially just about anyone involved in the planning of the Iraq invasion. I can't stand Rush or Hannity. I tend to lean right on issues of states rights, size and scope of federal governemt, immigration and gun rights so yes politically I hold more of the same ideals as the GOP but very little of its current members are doing the right things. It really pisses me off that they (much like any party out of power) simply snipes at the President's policies w/o offering real genuine solutions to the problems our country faces. That being said I can disagree with a politician w/o personally disliking him. To me Frank comes off as a smug santimonious jerk any time I've heard him speak and I think his involvement with Fannie Mae borders on criminal. CGM wasn't speaking to me personally so I was wrong to retort the way I did but his post coming directly after me definitely insinuated that to dislike Frank must be based on his party affiliation.

Fair enough, I'm not really a fan of anyone at the moment. I don't hear anything from either side that makes me say "I can get behind that". I think Frank is by far and large is a douche, but in this instance one thing he said that I wish people would listen to is "You can be mad and still have a rational debate"
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Barney Frank is a bit of a dick, but to be honest he's a 100% right, that woman is fuckin idiot, anyone who compares Obama with Hitler is a asshole of the highest order.

nah bud, you weren't wrong in speaking your mind. I was just a little skeptical that there was no political motivation at all in your remarks. But don't take that personally. I have noticed your participation in political debates, and I see a tendency to a certain side of the political spectrum, and that should come as a surprise. If I were to examine all of my own remarks I might have to say something similar about myself.
Anyways, this is politics. At the end of the day there should be no hard feelings.
