And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
It seems Floyd's recent racist remarks have upset some crazy Korean American (or perhaps just American yellow skinned) songwriter.
Now I said that people should be free to say what they like and be hung with their own words and I think this is a case in point.
Floyd is racist, but his racism is relatively mild racism. This Jenny bitch on the other hand appears to be a full on racist with a wish to seemingly wipe out the black race.
Take a look at some of the comments. They are outrageous and truly vile.
http://www.mb.com.ph/articles/351955...-racist-tweets
Thus far the Korean media is ignoring it. However, they have a tendency to focus only on non-yellow people saying and doing unsavoury things. Her words are awful and she should lose her job just like many journalists and public figures here too.
Foul words should be called out for what they and we have a Hitlerian racist here. Floyd is what I what term a moderate racist.
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
And before people start calling me out on the yellow thing, I am just having fun. I know that is racist in and of itself. I am all for racist jokes, but hate speech is a little different. We all know I am not mean in that way.
Actually, just reading those tweets things again I am gobsmacked by some of the things she was saying. I like to fire things up sometimes with a spicy post, but none of us are particularly evil and Floyd Mayweather would never go that far.
Utterly deplorable language and sentiments. Floyd I can kind of excuse as a lot of dumb people will support someone who has the same language or skin colour, but to full on verbally assault an entire race with such violent connotations is a gob smacker. Just wow.
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
See I would defend her right to say those things though. I don't see how it is racism as she has no actual power to denigrate black people or any other race.
It's just a little rant.
I quite like her, with a feisty attitude like that I bet she's a wild lay.
I find racism laws to be ridiculous now. Denying someone the same rights as others on account of their skin colour = racism.
Slagging somebody off because they are black, yellow, ginger, fat, disabled, a cunt etc is all much of a muchness and people should just get over it.
Also her statement regarding black people only advancing through white people, although offensive to say is factually accurate. Can anyone demonstrate otherwise?
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
I believe in freedom of speech and the power of your own language to show you up for being what you are. Imagine if I had gone off on the Jews in such a way and then said that I didn't regret anything that I said. You would all think I am an arse and rightly so. She is a horrible human being and unfortunately I see it all too often. You only have to mention the word Africa and young Koreans will get a fit of the giggles and start making tribal noises. It is ignorant and should be called out as such which I have had to do a lot in the past. Sure you can say it, but expect people to call you an idiot and expect to have issues being in a public position such as writing songs for well known Korean pop artists.
Take a comment like: "Floyd Mayweather, your people brag about all the muscles they have except for the muscle that actually counts. #Neanderthal. F***ing idiot. You should be WORSHIPPING Asians you sub-human ungrateful APE ". It is more than a little rant, it is outright nasty and venomous and isn't a one off statement. It is one of a dozen statements and she then refuses to back down.
As a public person involved in a type of music is drawn more towards black music rather than Indie boy rock, it is more than a little bit flippant. It is horrid and she deserves a good backlash. I make the Floyd references because what he said is child's play compared to what she went and responded with.
I am all for people saying what they want, but they deserve to be called idiots if act idiotically and all I am doing is comparing her to Mayweather which really was so tame in comparison.

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
At least she didn't say she wanted Floyd Mayweather to have his teeth smashed in and left dripping with blood because he is a member of the black race which is what you said regarding Yuri Foreman.
But I guess that was different somehow right?
We all still loved you.

The difference was that I was drunk, but man enough to take back my words. Don't forget the context too which was right after the flotilla massacre. It wasn't in response to Floyd saying that he essentially supports black athletes above all others which is relatively trivial.
My posting history is there and with the mean is hopefully a lot more that is funny, caring and a better reflection. Nobody is perfect, but very few are racist to a Hitlerian kind of degree. Floyd certainly isn't.
I have said many times that I respect Jews as human beings, but take issue with their governance. That destroys the couple of times a got silly and said something mental.
As I say I am all for freedom of speech and allowing your own words to be the ultimate barometer by which you are judged.

So you're just misunderstood like Mel Gibson and John Galliano then.

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
No, what I said wasn't different. It was racist and wrong.
However, I have rarely advocated mass genocide or anything of that ilk. In fact my posting shows me as being against that kind of behaviour and abuses of power in general.
I am open for people to say what they like, but wouldn't like to be thought of as a racist because I don't think I am.
I remember once criticising David Haye's grammar and having someone call me a racist for it. Sometimes I think people don't even known what racism is.

I don't see how it is any different. She wrote her tweets directed at Floyd because she thinks he an idiot neanderthal. I'm sure many would agree with her on that. He slagged her race, she slagged his back.
I see no harm. I am against censorship of any viewpoints. When people spout hateful things in public those remarks become both their crime and their punishment.

The difference for me is degree and that is my only point.
Floyd saying Pac is yellow, eats rice and that he supports blacks over other races is relatively harmless. Some of that is true and the other is just bias. Many do it in terms of supporting the Brit or supporting Khan because he Asian. That's fine. I eat a lot of potatoes and my wife prefers rice. It's relatively uncontroversial.
Saying that another race is superior and another is degenerate and should be worshiping another is racism taken to a whole other level though and that is something I don't feel comfortable with. It is very hateful, but I accept that it can be said.
I am against censorship too, but I do feel that one was more extreme than the other. It's nothing controversial. If anything my own posting history probably has me cast as anti white. I'm not a fan of that manifest destiny, let's invade and plunder the poor brown people nonsense.

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
I predict that Greenbeanz is going to say that I am part of the problem and that Bilbo is ignorant. :reporter:
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
Beanz won't say I'm ignorant. He'd never use a single pejorative when he can impress the whole forum with the full contents of his expanded thesaurus.
-
If you two public school Boys can manage to extricate your tongues from your incessant mutual rimming for one moment you may make more sense. I have never needed a thesaurus when replying on here and would never accuse a Tory boy like you Gollum of traits like ignorance and bigotry that so obviously define you or suggest that Miles was in the least bit unsettled by his latent homosexual and racist tendencies.
-
Oh and Gandalf you are mixing up Jews and Isrealies. Whereas Bilbo is confusing cracking one out over ladyboys and not being gay.

True, there is a distinction. I post these things quickly sometimes and don't get things over properly. I sometimes miss words in sentences in my haste too.
I am not much of a typist unlike you too. It's not easy to type using only one finger on each hand, but such are my habits.

Depends on how we look at it. Through the white races egotistical, mental and physical take over of everything on the two great southern 'black only continents' and the mismanagement of soil through chemicals, strip farming, deforestation, without listening to the natives in each local area about sustainability; we have changed climate, killed off oceans and reefs, poisoned ourselves through our food into cancerous states are about to die off through our white orientated greedy choices.
Wow, how advanced.:)

God, it's like dealing with the media. They dig up one line that was taken back and anytime you try to show your real self they fall back on that same line.
a) No, I don't hate Jews. Yes, I despise the Israeli government which routinely violates international law and war mongers in the Middle East.
b) My positions on race and bigotry are known over hundreds of posts, so it is inaccurate to say that my view is any less than that of anyone else.
My point is clear and simple. There are degrees of racism. I happen to think one is dangerous and the other relatively trivial.
All rather elementary.

So what level is your bigotry? Is it severe, moderate, or light? I think advocating the death of someone based on the group they belong to is pretty severe, no?
And let's be honest now, you typed what you did on Yuri Foreman because that's how you felt on certain groups, let's not blame it on the booze now shall we?
Look I like reading your posts and think you are somewhat funny, but let's not lecture people on racism/bigotry when your views on certain groups is blatantly clear. Actually, never mind just continue what you are doing, I find it quite funny.:D

I am a light racist as I make allusions to race, but that largely comes from living in a country where I am the only white man and it is usually said just for effect.
Yuri Foreman was a ONE off. Never seen before and certainly not seen after. That instance was extreme and I have admitted as much. It was also taken back with an apology.
In a lifetime one says many things and evolves many trains of thought, but you don't condemn a man for a single thing said once in 1867. That in itself is narrow minded and lacking in fairness. And more so if one knows it was wrong and says as much.
Anyway, it seems this extreme racist has gone to a mental hospital and has schizophrenia. I think that is probably untrue, she went off the deep end and should just admit it and say sorry.

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
As I have said before some of my favourite people are Jews. Finkelstein and Chomsky are prime examples. They are wonderful people and I have nothing but respect. But if you are Netanyahu then I will despise you. It is human traits that I distinguish, not ethnicity.

I have to add 1 last thing, the Jenny girl while saying such awful remarks is also morally superior to you. She conveyed her racist thoughts but at least she did not wish death on a group or a person from the group whom she clearly disliked. You on the other hand wished death on Yuri Foreman for being a Jew from Israel without knowing anything about what his political ideologies are, not that it makes it alright to wish death upon someone for their political beliefs. All you needed to know was that Foreman was Jewish and from Israel, therefore he disgusts you and that you wanted him to die. She is not the extreme bigot, it's you.
But hey Miles, you can blame it on the booze.;)
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
Miles has a remarkable ability to excuse his own behaviour here.
"Ok so one time I got a bit mental and said I wanted a Jew to die becuase he's a Jew but that was an entirely different thing. I was drunk you see, and angry. But I said repeatedly afterwards that I am not an anti semite and that surely cancels out one minor act of wishing death upon Jews"
-
Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
I don't understand. I took back what I said whilst this woman hasn't and she has gone and booked herself into a mental hospital. I like good people and dislike people who inflict pain upon others. It really doesn't matter if they are white, black, purple, toothless or Jewish.
I said a terrible thing once whilst drunk and to be honest I say a lot of mean things when I am drunk, but that was perhaps the meanest thing I have ever said. It isn't the kind of thing I would typically say.
You can tell how drunk I am by lexical variety and post length. Drunk posts are typically snappy and short. Yuri Foreman was an obvious blind drunk one.
If people think I am at root a raving racist that is up to them, but I regard myself as a moderate racist in that I point out the obvious rather than wish to hurt anyone because they are different.
It's hard to tell if someone is just trying to provoke me, so I think that's all I have to say on the issue of race and myself.

It's not that we think you are a racist that's the point here, it's rather your quickness to label somebody else as such for saying the kind of things you yourself have said in the past.

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
I see that this has been posted on her official site blog
Jenny Hyun has been admitted to a hospital today. She is a paranoid schizophrenic and has been battling mental illness, a debilitating disease for many years.
Friends and family of Jenny want to extend their sincere apology for any harmful statements made verbally or via the web that Jenny has made while she was in the height of a psyshosis episode. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time for her.
Quite sad if true.

I was just trying to show degrees of racism and say hers is worse than Mayweather's. So was mine.
If I hated Jews so much then why would I like Chomsky so much? I would be burning his books rather than be a fan of his. I don't like hip hop, but that doesn't make me a racist. I love James Toney.
I just don't have it in me to be a proper out and out racist, but this woman clearly is as she has maintained the same point of view and doesn't take it back. Maybe she will be reformed in hospital and become a former racist, but I doubt it.

I think it sounds too much like a cop out. She went on the warpath and then when it gets too hot is suddenly a paranoid schizophrenic. It's not getting drunk, it's not just being a daft racist, but instead it's full on 'she is schizo'.
Why not just say sorry and move on? I should have pleaded schizo instead of drunk, it's far more dramatic and people have to feel sorry for you. "Oh look at the poor dribbling mess, he didn't know what he was saying".
-
I was going to say "so now your bigotry extends to cover mental illness" but that would be unkind and unnecessary to point out to a fellow sufferer. It would be like me calling Bilbo a racist, homophobic, intolerant, fundamentalist, self obsessed xenophobe and so I will refrain.

I just think that is an extreme means of evading what you have said. A person should just say sorry and avoid any repetition of said behaviour. If you carry on doing it then it is only then that you would truly regard the person as an outright racist.
I am a depressed type and wouldn't use mental illness as an excuse for anything I did. I would just tell the truth and admit that I was drunk and hope my future actions level out what people believe of me.
Judging by You Tube comments half the world is schizophrenic, or are they just racists run amok?

Re: And you thought Floyd Mayweather was racist...
It seems to me that this general bulldog fella was awful quick to jump the gun. I don't even think he read the previous posts before commenting. Actually, I'm rather sure of it. Stupid.
Anyways, I believe with everything that Gandalf is going towards at the moment. When one starts referring to a race as a limb that is infected with gangrene and needs to be amputated, that takes matters far beyond the opinion of a casual joking racist.
I am not a racist. I hate everybody equally. People in general suck. All of them. We should judge on the individual, as that would be the wise thing to do.
And judging on this Jenny girl as an individual, she should think about consequences before she opens her mouth again. Hopefully she's learned something from this whole ordeal.

In life people call each other names all the time. We say someone is ugly, we say someone is stupid, and some people also accuse people of being of a different ethnic origin. Should we just ban all insults altogether and create some kind of utopia?
Is it really so hard to distinguish between types of racism? Some are hideous and some are just people being idiots as people are prone to be. I really don't see the problem with what Floyd said and everyone just wants to shout 'racist'. They are all uptight PC idiots IMO.

I don't have a problem with what anybody has said. People get judged by their own conduct so in effect their own words are their own punishment.
Now, if it was the leader of a country or massive organisation with an actual power and ability to be racist in a real way then it's totally different. But some airhead celebrity who gives a fuck what they think.

Exactly. I think there is a big difference between Floyd supporting black Americans and Hitler exterminating Jews. A monumental, massive difference. One is trivial, the other is genocide.
