This is going to be an awesome fight. It's a pick em fight for me as both of these have a lot of grit and determination. I would give the edge in speed to Peterson while punching power goes to Lucas however I also think Lucas is also the more technical fighter. If he gets off to a fast start and gets a knockdown in, I can see him winning a decision.

Tbh I'm having a little bit of an issue with this one. The 141 crap kind of turned me off. No title on the line it would seem because Lucas is worried about his ranking with the Wbc should he have won the Ibf title. The whole thing stinks really.
I'll ride with Lamont.
Matthysse is the fuckin man.
Peterson is dogmatic, determined and consistently in top shape.
Matthysse is the power man of the division; a methodical patient stalker with murderous punching power. He's far more clever than just a pure puncher.
He will prevail.

Its not a catchweight match...its a good match with a default insurance policy. And yes, winning and losing need to mean something. If you lose, you lose a ranking simple as. If either think they stroll into a immediate title fight if hypothetically they get blown out and owned they already have one knee down in that slugs direction. Jose has def screwed more fighters than he has actual women. If they do keep ranking and guarenteed mega payday for a trinket next up and fans don't call bullshit on it..shame on the fans. Mattysse was too dirty of a fighter but I think he has cleaned up a bit. My heart will be with Peterson but I think Lucas will prevail. My wife wants me to take her to NYC Saturday, I might have to feign illness.

Cant see it. His title is not even on the line. And btw I buy his explanation as to the previous test. The amounts found were not indicative of a guy cheating but rather using for physical rehab. In fact it was below the accepted amount. Perhaps Lucas is not forcing the issue because he's juicing.Quote:

Matthysse is as tough as nails and I'd have a hard time betting against him in this fight. Petersen's only chance would be to box his way to a decision, I think. But something tells me it won't go the 12 rounds.
