Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
he's convincing fury isnt he
seeing them on ringside last night theres a massive size difference
i cant see it going any other way than a haye KO tho
people are saying if Fury is still there after 6 rounds he will be favourite and i think they have it all wrong, the longer the fight goes on the more chance of a haye KO, i think fury has to really make his mark early
-
Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
I thought Haye look motivated at press conference.
Still going with Fury by stoppage, would be better for boxing.
Going to be a great fight.

Not sure how to vote but ...
Haye early KO.
I'm intrigued to see why people think Fury will struggle later in the fight? I haven't seen any stamina issues?!?! The only issue I see is that massive pikey glass jaw!

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
Fury gon win. Fury isn't gonna lose to a inactive, part time boxer.

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
Listening to talk sport today .
Barry McGuigan.
Johnny Nelson.
Nicky Piper.
All have gone for Haye via quick KO.
Interesting stuff indeed ,

Nelson also said this.
"I have actually sparred Fury - I am probably about the same size as Haye, maybe a bit shorter - and he is very hard to hit and pin down because he is so big.
I suppose in his last fight against Steve Cunningham, Fury was pinned down but when you are trying to close the gap and move into range against a bigger opponent, you leave yourself open - and Fury can certainly punch."

The fact that you posted within seconds of the thread being posted just tells me that you were in too much of a hurry to repeat your moronic dribble to notice the poll.
Does the pathetic name calling add anything? Or are just upset because you've gone too far to retract the moronic predictions and analysis that you've been making, so are now stuck being ridiculed by just about everybody?
Obviously the emotionally retarded part of your brain was able to post bullshit straight away, but the logical part of your brain that deals with facts and figures couldn't bring itself to vote in a poll as quickly with something so incorrect.

Why not? He had to pick himself up off his arse and foul his way to a win against an old cruiserweight and Haye has a better pedigree than the twxi drivers that make up Fury's record. ???
Theres more than a remote probability that he might lose to an 'inactive, part time boxer'...
(Also, is there such a thing as an inactive full time boxer or an active part time boxer? Just curious)

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
Im telling you there wa sno poll options when I first posted. The name calling is because im getting pissed off of being jumped on about anything because I dare to have an opinion.
The fact I actually sipaid what I think rather than just annonymously click a poll option tells yiu the strength of my belief.

That is to his credit. Haye couldnt do the same.

Hope this helps.

Haye was talking about retirement before the abysmal showing against Wladimir, nope one wants to see that again.
Vitali is past his best and should retire after Bermane Stiverne, if he does fight on it will not be against Haye.
So if Haye comes out with a win what will he do wait 9-12 months before his next bout, Fans are in no rush to fight see Wlad-Haye II after he bottled it in Hamburg.
So Haye has another 2 fights in two years, just to stay relevant, maybe he wins the WBC title after Vitali retires, he has one defense and retires himself.
Or he gets another shot against Wlad and loses again.
If you had to pick Wlad vs Haye or Fury, it has to be Fury.
Fury winning, you will see more exciting fights.
I have no doubt in Fury will take on all challenges, and if he wins the belts off Wlad it will be hilarious.
Again I don't see Vitali taking on Fury for his last bout, he shouldn't it has had a long career and he is past his best.
What will Haye do in next two years if he wins, lose against Wlad or win WBC then retire, I just don't see the exciting fights he will compete in.
Even if he takes the vacant WBC, beats Wlad I do not think he will stick around. (doubtful)

if fury wins we will no doubt then have an enteraining fight against wlad with only one possible outcome
if haye wins we will probably see a few more fights involving haye and some fringe contenders before a return fight against wlad which would probably end in a win for wlad but there is much more chance of an upset
i dunno about "best for boxing" coz thats just some stupid shit boxing fans say but I would say its "best for the boxing fan" that haye wins

But you said that getting off the floor to beat a cruiserweight is something Haye couldn't do. But he did. Just not the one you were talking about. Your way of debating is very odd.
Also, Carl Thompson was a fucking good fighter and losing to him in your 11th fight, by being outlasted, is not really very shameful. Haye had to learn from that that he needed a plan B if he couldn't just blast a guy out.
-
Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
It'll be a good competitive scrap while it lasts, but Fury by KO inside 7.

Thompson would have been a much bigger name if it werent for Hamed and Bruno hogging the headlines. If he had a full set of teeth that probably would have helped as well.

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
I dont know what people are talking about on this thread. It is not going to be a good exiting fight at all. Its prob gonna be on Box Office which is a joke. I just hope they get a decent undercard going.
-
Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
Hold on!
A few people, el kabong was one of, said that Adamek was in the top 5 heavies..
Cunningham had just been robbed against him in his previous fight, is only 36 to Thmpsons 40! Was a genuine world champ, knocked out Marco Huck which Povetkin couldnt do and he had never been stopped!
Thompson had retired and been knocked out 5 times in his 6 losses. Haye couldnt even drop him but ex middle weight Eubank did 6 years before when Thmpson was fresher and had taken less of a beating.
Cunningham was a dangerous fight for any contender coming up. Thompsson was supposed to be a walk over and he should have been.

Good point Ross, alot is made of the Cunningham knockdown but Fury got up to win. When Haye was the same he got dropped vs an old cruiserweight but he didnt get up to win
Still think he fights come too soon or Fury but wouldnt mind seeing him win. Hayes had hi chance and was very disappointing. Fury has more of a fighters heart so lets see how he does vs a Klitschko.
If i was a betting man Id put money on Haye

So you are concluding that David Haye isn't bigger better and more experienced than when he fought Carl Thompson ?
Or what is your point ?
Im not trying to beat you down im just confused at your logic.
I understand you like Fury which is fine , but im not the only one who thinks you are blinded by this fact.

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
So basically all Fury can brag about is getting off the floor and roughing up a smaller, older man and stopping him by ilegally using his elbow?
For once you're 100% right - Haye can't make the same claim. I'm sure he'll settle for being the unified cruiserweight champion of the world and holding the WBA heavyweight title instead. :vd:
You keep bringing up Thompson, by comparing the inexperienced Haye to the current Fury all you're basically saying is that Tyson Fury is on the same level that David Haye was EIGHT years ago...
And again (twice! :0) you're 100% right, the David Haye that punched himself out and got dropped by an old cruiserweight would get beaten by the current version of David Haye in 4 rounds... The Tyson Fury that got dropped hard by an old cruiserweight and had to pull every dirty trick that he could to get a sketchy stoppage would ALSO get stopped by the current version of Haye in 4 rounds.
The problem for you is that the Tyson Fury that got shown up by the older, smaller guy IS the current version. :-/
If it helps your fantasy, then by all means keep kidding yourself that Fury is fighting the Cruiserweight novice from 8 years ago. :)

Haye was on his feet when stopped and Haye isn't 6 foot 9... ;)

Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
Yes Fury is shameful , he fighting his second over 30 Blown up cruiser , not the way to prepare yourself for the 18 stone Wlad. TUT TUT shame on your Fury you bully.:LOLATYOU:
-
Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
The good thing about fury somehow winning would be that he would likely end up fighting Wlad, who would quickly expose the fact that being 6 foot 9 and fighting short taxi drivers doesn't require a great deal of pure boxing ability. Level that playing feild and you see just how far from elite his other attributes are...
-
I am absolutely astonished that people who I used to regard as knowledgable boxing fans cannot see that this is going to be an early haye blow out of fury. Fury is far too slow for haye and will be smacked into next week as soon as he tries taking the fight to haye. Fury will not be standing by the end of the 4th.

My logic is that as bad as Haye looked in his fights with Mock and Thompson he managed to go on to win a world title.
Fury has shown he has more fight in him up to this point. Hes had those gut checks and come through them well. Its a more promising start to a career than Haye had. Dont write afury off because he has looked vulnerable. All hes done is been learning and he has not only improved fight by fight, hes improved during fights, turning fights around to totally dominate the opponent.
Its a risky opponent for Fury but one that needs to be beaten to forge an even better challenger to beat a Klitschko and I am not the only person who thinks that Furys will to win will be too much for Haye, especially at this point in his career.
In fact, I can see Haye now, after being bullied around, staying on his stool between rounds and screaming "IM A CELEBRITY, HET ME OUT OF HERE!"
;D

uhhm If you look at the poll it's clear the overwhelming majority of us see a haye victory, by ko. altho we're going to have to eat a shit ton of crow if freakin fury was to pull it off somehow someway, not saying its likely but boxing is full of crazy shit

Cunningham was still very relevant and in the heavyweight division. He should have got the decision afainst Adamek who el kabong believes to currently be in the top 5.
The thompson that Haye lost to was 40, had 6 losses, been knocked out 5 times, been dropped in almost every fight and had retired.
-
Re: Early poll Haye v Fury
I'm rooting for Fury, I think it would be better for boxing if he wins. It would set up a huge heavyweight fight between Fury and Wladimir Klitschko.
However, although Fury has a real chance of winning if he can survive the early rounds, the most likely outcome is Haye by KO.

The thompson that Haye lost to was 40, had 6 losses, been knocked out 5 times, been dropped in almost every fight and had retired.
And Fury had had TWICE as many fights as Haye had and enjoyed a massive height, reach and weight advantage and he still managed to get dropped by a single shot whilst he was still fresh in the fight. Haye punched himself out due to inexperience, Fury got dropped hard because he is a weak chinned lummox.
It's all moot because, again - fury isn't fighting haye from 8 YEARS ago, but Haye is fighting the Fury from 10 weeks ago.
