Rankings?

Was thinking of getting a feel for what the forum's rankings were each month.

We could all post our current top 5 (minimum of 3, only top 5 will be counted) in each division (or the divisions you want) and we could rank the top 3 in each class based on the results.

So I'll leave voting open until next Friday (then I'll post the results), so you can place your middleweight fights (GGG/Canelo, Gonzalez etc) after the weekend.

Can I just ask that if you make a new post instead of editing, makes it easier to keep track of.

Yea basically how you rate your top 3-5 in each division.

If others want to debate your rankings, they are free to, might gets some good debate and possibly some agreement.

All good Ron, would love to have your rankings on any of the divisions if you want, the more votes, the more spread the rankings will be, and helps break any ties. A top 3 is minimum. However you currently rank them.

I think in “official” rankings you have to have the outcome count. With these rankings, I’m just going off of who I think is the best despite what I consider bad scoring. For example, when Bradley “beat” Pacquiao, I wouldn’t rank Bradley higher in the division because he obviously wasn’t better. The judges were just blind.

OK so Loma and Garcia are at Lightweight. Davis is at 130. So if you can give me 1 more lightweight (3 is the minimum for accepted votes) and have a look at 130 I can add these on.

Two interesting things. First, no Ramirez at super middle? And second, Thurman is still in your rankings?

I’m just not super impressed by Alvarez at LHW. He did beat Kovalev fair and square, but I didn’t think he looked that impressive in previous fights and was definitely losing the fight before he landed his big shot. I think he loses to the other Russians and Ukrainians in the division

I only rank Alvarez highly off the Kov KO.

147 and 130 are tight for the top spot at this stage, 126 is close between the top 3.

Well Thurman will be back soon and barring Spence and Crawford I'd pick him over Pac, who would have been in my five.

I don't think much of Ramirez, I purposely put Eubank Jr no.5 because I think stylistically he would batter him.

Remember I was picking my five best per division not who deserves a high ranking.

Eubank and Degale are supposed to fight in Dec. after they win their tune ups. At this stage I think Ramirez beats Eubank as well.
