Default If A Superfight Between Kessler And Pavlik Happened..

If We Boxing Fans Were Fortunate Enough To See A Fight Like Mikkel Kessler/kelly Pavlik Or Calzaghe/pavlik Go Down.. Who Do You Think Would Win And Explain Why..

Kessler fights Well Backing Up And Pavlik Is In Love With Walking Fighters Down. I Would Say Kessler Would Stick To His Game Plan Making Pavlik Chase. Kessler Would Be Meticulous With Landing Precise, Timed Punches That Would Find Their Mark With High Percentage. Pavlik Would Be Looking To Land That Big Shot And Of Course If He Did.. It Could Be Good Night. The Best I Can Say Is Kessler On Points On Pavlik By Late Ko.

calzaghe would Start The Fight Out Very Smart And Try To Guage Just How Hard It Is That Pavlik Punches. Based Off Of That Calzaghe Would Comprise A Plan. Pavlik Would Begin His Routine To Find That Target For "bombs Away". I Would Say As An Outcome Of Experience For Calzaghe.. Pavlik Would Not Be Able To Figure Out And Continually Adapt To Calzaghe's High Tempo And Ever Changing Style. Calzaghe Gives Pavlik His First Loss By Decision. (note* I Could See Both Guys On The Canvas In This One)

I'd saay this fight would be a pick em fight. Would like to see how Kessler does in his next fight actually, see if he has improved or lost something after the Joe C fight.

I think Kessler - Pavlik fight would be a battle of the jabs who ever gets it working first will win the fight. Both have a very good straight rights and alot of power,Pavlik seems happy to defend his belt a few time before he steps up to SMW.

As for Calzaghe - Pavlik,Calzaghe would out box him and win a UD.Pavlik gets fustrated when he carnt get his shot off and Calzaghe is just to smart to stand straight infront of Pavlik. But he always has a punchers chance.

I think Kessler would beat the fuck out of Pavlik, Im not sold on him at all. Calzaghe would turn him over easily too.

Good conviction filled post. Kessler is very polished and Calzaghe is so unpredictable fightstyle wise. However, i would say either of those guys against Pavlik is a pick em. Pavlik is not as seasoned but he's definately got that KO power and a height advantage.

Won't happen as Miranda is going to beat Kessler.

I think if Pavlik knocked Calzaghe down (and i'm not talking flash), then he would not be getting up..

Hahaha!!! I don't know about that. Miranda is good at fighting B and C level fighters and he looks great.. he can't beat A level fighters. Take that to the register... scan it and put it in your cart.

yeah i can agree.. that seems to be Pavlik's story.. When he bombs you and you go down.. just because you get up don't mean your right anymore. I've always said that Pavlik hits as hard as a heavy. I have never heard thuds like that when someone hits someone.. never. If they go down once and get back up they will go back down again almost certainly. Pavlik's power is not normal.

I don't think Pavlik is a one punch guy, but he is a thudding puncher. It is a heavy hands thing with him somewhat like Foremen was at heavyweight. He is slow enough that his opponents see the punches coming, and they make take a few for being able to brace for them, but they still take a heavy toll. It is the strength of his punches if that makes any sense, not so much the shock power.

What your saying makes alot of sense.. it's totally the strength because he's not all the fast. Power and speed are usually the best combinations. I do think he has one punch KO power for sure though. most people he hits square are out on their feet before they go. If you look back at about all of his fights everyone is out before they hit the mat. He has one punch KO power...so when you see someone out on their feet and they take 3-4 more punches before they go.. that's just insult to injury and excessive.

hmmm thats a tricky one to call to be honest....id probly give the SLIGHT edge to Kessler as he must be naturally the bigger man one would think! However then i think of Kelly's one punch power...hmmm cor i realy couldnt pick it! but would LOVE to see it!

I don't think Kessler will have lost anything since Calzaghe and would still take him to 12 rounds..
I think he is to pollished for Pavlik as someone else said.. Pavlik has looked good in his fights and is definetly up and coming.. A few more testing wins for him to grow and i'd put it even..
I think Kessler would be a little to much for him though...
Would be a great fight to see though!

Kessler to me is a very sound technical fighter.
