yeah i can agree.. that seems to be Pavlik's story.. When he bombs you and you go down.. just because you get up don't mean your right anymore. I've always said that Pavlik hits as hard as a heavy. I have never heard thuds like that when someone hits someone.. never. If they go down once and get back up they will go back down again almost certainly. Pavlik's power is not normal.
I don't think Pavlik is a one punch guy, but he is a thudding puncher. It is a heavy hands thing with him somewhat like Foremen was at heavyweight. He is slow enough that his opponents see the punches coming, and they make take a few for being able to brace for them, but they still take a heavy toll. It is the strength of his punches if that makes any sense, not so much the shock power.

What your saying makes alot of sense.. it's totally the strength because he's not all the fast. Power and speed are usually the best combinations. I do think he has one punch KO power for sure though. most people he hits square are out on their feet before they go. If you look back at about all of his fights everyone is out before they hit the mat. He has one punch KO power...so when you see someone out on their feet and they take 3-4 more punches before they go.. that's just insult to injury and excessive.
hmmm thats a tricky one to call to be honest....id probly give the SLIGHT edge to Kessler as he must be naturally the bigger man one would think! However then i think of Kelly's one punch power...hmmm cor i realy couldnt pick it! but would LOVE to see it!
I don't think Kessler will have lost anything since Calzaghe and would still take him to 12 rounds..
I think he is to pollished for Pavlik as someone else said.. Pavlik has looked good in his fights and is definetly up and coming.. A few more testing wins for him to grow and i'd put it even..
I think Kessler would be a little to much for him though...
Would be a great fight to see though!

Kessler to me is a very sound technical fighter.
