How did this guy get the fight? Surely he's not an alphabet no.1?

He beat Denis Boytsov (former WBO #1) ....who is like Povetkin, but smaller and more injury prone

This is probably the worst opponent Wlad has fought since he was in between losses years ago, complete nothing fight.

No kidding, Deontay Wilder has a better resume than Denis Boystov did! But then Wilder is highly ranked in another alphabet isn't he There won't be a proper title fight in the division until someone wins the WBC title in style and then fights Wlad in a unification.

Wladimir doesn't feel like Leapai is deserving of the fight, but he intends to hold 100% of the belts

Yea can't knock Wlad for it, there are no other fights happening to bring forth a credible challenger to him anyways. What happened to the Stiverne-Arreola rematch? Is someone else going to fight Stiverne for the vacant title?

I thought Stiverne-Arreola II was set and Wilder was getting the winner

Yea thats what I thought, just noticed neither are set for anything on boxrec and there hasn't been much talk about the rematch. Could still be happening, I'd rather see Wilder or Jennings fight Stiverne if not though.

We can't curse at Wlad for mandatories... RJJ fought mandatories at LH for years. There was no way to get fights other than the mandatories.
