    That's a fucken clinic...

Scolari fucken passed out on the sideline, could you imagine for the type of coach that he is and the type of footy he's used to seeing for his team to be used up like that...
Must have been like a kick to the balls.

Also in the spanish league my team Real Madrid won 3-0 today...

Last week Arjen Robben scored this peach of a gol vs. Villareal.

United plays Wigan on Wednesday if we get the win there it will only put us 2 points behind Liverpool...

It was sad to see only 100 turned out for their rodeo show

But still it's great that they are working and nobody can tell me that female dancer with her bra and stomach showing wasn't damn sexy in her own special little way.

Oh! Yvonne save me the time...

    I been a United Fan since 1998....
Not just a regular fan who says he's a fan...

I live in the US and on Sundays like today I sometimes have to wake up at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning to catch the games live.

I bet you I'm more of a fan then people who actually live in Manchester.
I have their jerseys, DVDs and try to watch all their games.

During the Champions League I would take my lunch break from work between 12:45 and 1:45 and drive to a local restaurant who had the games.

    I'm passionate about footy mate.
I root for many teams because that's how much I like the sport.

    America
    Real Madrid
    Borussia Dortmund
    LA Galaxy
    AC Milan
    River Plate
    Man U

I been playing it since I was 5 and still play today. Just last week we won our 2nd title in a row and were going for our 3rd.

You or for that matter ANYONE else can tell me I root for you United just because they win.
I root for United cause that's the team that I used to watch as 16/17 yr. old I've been with United through the good and bad times.

When we went on a dry spell for 3 fucken seasons I was still rooting for United. We fiucken started off a BRILLIANT 03-04 season and it I was never more condfident that the cup would end up in our hands but wow! what a turn of events... The only thing that ended up in our hands was, well nothing. We couldn't close out the season and then FCPorto gives it to us in the ass to knock us off the Euro Cup.

So I do understand what your saying about some fans just rooting for a team cause they think they'll win but not here not me.

The thing is, most people in Europe might see that as a contradiction in terms. I mean, how can you really have more than one team etc... [1]

Also, I will say that claiming Manchester United has had bad times in the period of 1998-2009 is a fukkin' joke. Same thing pretty much goes for Real Madrid. And AC Milan (I'll give you Dortmund, they've been really crap for a few seasons).

[1] Athough admittedly most people in Denmark will support a team in this country and a team abroad, usually in England. I do too. And I am PRETTY DAMN PISSED after the same match that makes you happy right now. F***.

good to hear your a utd fan! dont fkin matter where u live, i personally live abt 15 miles from the ground but it dont matter to me where fans from. When i was in america last april the bar was full of yanks supporting the reds, the game was on at 8am & i found that many knew more abt the mighty reds than i did.

I am going to watch them play wigan on wednesday, hopefully get a good result and put even more pressure on the scousers.

    Glory, glory, Man United,
    Glory, glory, Man United,

The problem with your last statement, Mick, is that you have picked teams that are fantastically successful by international standards.

America: One of the most successful Mexican clubs, although I think they are just behind Chivas, correct me if I'm mistaken, but nevertherless a very successful team. If you are Mexican by background than obviously that would explain why you support them.

Real Madrid: Commonly acknowledged as the 'best' club in history with the most Spanish championships & European Cup wins.

Borussia Dortmund: Not the most successful now, but in the 90's they were pretty shit-hot, winning the Champions League in 97 & a few German Championships around that time thanks to players like Sammer & Moller.

LA Galaxy: Won't call you on this one as I've gathered you live in LA.

AC Milan: 2nd most successful club with 7 European Cups, and the most successful football club in the world from the late 80's to present time.

River Plate: One of the most successful teams in South America, with only Boca Juniors, and a few Brazilian teams bearing comparisom with them.

Man Utd: The most successful British team of the 90's to present. Arguably the most popular club in the world in the last 10-15 years.

Argentina: After, Brazil, Germany & Italy, they are the most successful int'l side, particularly in the last 40 odd years. 2 World Cups & countless Copa Americas don't lie. Almost anywhere with a half-decent football team, you would be expected to support either the country your in, or one where you have some background. For example, whilst I don't support England (long story, bad experiences with fans etc etc), I do support both Italy & Ghana in int'l tournaments as these are the places my family has come from.

See, Mick the problem here is you haven't gone for supporting Aston Villa or Udinese in any particular case, you've always gone for the big, successful team.

What do you do when these teams play each other? Who do you support?
A team you used to watch as a 16/17 year old, maybe this is a cultural thing, but in most of Europe you would be expected (yes EXPECTED) to have settled on a football team by the time you are 12 at the most.

Also owning DVDs & all the shit these clubs pump out to get your dollar/pound/euro is not what defines a fan, it's what the big clubs do to take advantage of those who support them. Also going through the good & bad times with the teams you've chosen is a hell of a lot easier than going through the good & the bad with the likes of Hull or Sporting Gijon

Anyway Mick, I didn't really mean for this post to be so lecturing, because at the end of the day it won't change your views & your entitled to support whoever you want, but you should probably try to understand why this might irk people in Europe where these clubs are, especially taking into account the financial state of the majority of small European clubs.

Myself I support West Ham as this is the team most of my family support & is just over the river from me & i've supported them since I was 7, and I also support AC Milan in Italy as this where the majority of my Italian family live & I started when I was 4 (& this may have been my own little bit of glory-hunting, but FFS I made up for it supporting West Ham ). Let's face it, there is also very little chance of them actually having to play each other especially since my beloved Hammers may well cease to exist. Fuckin Sheffield United !!!

Anyway fella, no hard feelings just trying to show why your choices might not sit well with those on this side of the pond, but to many here it would be like supporting the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, SF 49ers & Pittsburgh Steelers at the same time.

Ive been a pompey fan since a nipper as thats where i am from. Believe me i'm not a glory boy..supporting an outfit that has the worst ground in the league (including the lower divisions) and i've been to my fair share of shyte ground in div 2 on a rainy wednesday nightfollwing the blue army.

Those were the days i say!

Pisses me off we get a new breed of pompey fan now on board who piss and moan cos we aint top 6. FFS get real, we almost went into admin in 98 and got bought by terry vegetable (cunt) for a quid.
