Stiverne fights like he's on valium.
It's going to be very difficult for Chris Arreola to bounce back and be a contender after this loss.
Murray & Stiverne are BOTH beasts!!!! Arreola is garbage. tough but not too skilled at all. Stivernes body shots were brutal. i wanna see him land on ole glass jaw wlad. he could too i bet! he can box.
Don't get too excited, Stiverne is good but don't throw him in with the big dogs yet. He needs a few more fights.
Arreola is finding the level he belongs at, and it's not at the top. I've never had high hopes for him, but he is tough as they come with good power and likes to mix it up so he is always entertaining.
Why is Junior fighting Vera? Why didn't he wait to see what happened in this fight before fighting Vera? In the alternative, why didn't Junior face Barker? Vera at 165 is way out of his optimal weight class.
You mean instead of Golovkin or even Murray? Easy. Team Chavez made the mistake of putting Junior's "0" on the line against the first credible opposition he's ever faced, Sergio Martinez. The "0" is now gone, but not the goal of having Junior amass the 100 victories his daddy reached. Ok, so the Martinez fight was a glitch in the masterplan... but now it's back to Plan B.
Vera is there to be hit. Before his last fight with Donatas Bondorovas, Vera publicly said he'd rather not have to face Chavez. But guess what? He won that fight (albeit not too convincingly)... and money talks. So Vera will gladly assume the role of cannon fodder for Junior, who is sure to come into the fight at somewhere between 180 and 190 pounds. Team Chavez will not make THAT mistake again.... no sir.
Need I say more?
