I know im probably going to get a lot of stick from Cotto fans but really i can't see Cotto beating most of the elite 90's Welterweights.
IT's your opinion no need for no one to give stick lol
I will only say this. People still saying Cotto would loose to this guy and the other and keeps wining. Shane is still a great fighter in fact he is better now than before since he has more experience and still has his physical qualities.
I dont get how people say Mosely is still a great fighter, but Delahoya is discreditied... Mosely is older and has more miles on him but people say Mosely is great and Delahoya is not I think they are both great personally

Anyone who says DLH is not a great fighter is just plain out a hater...I am not a DLH fan but you can not deny the man his accomplishments,,,,I don't care how many big fights he has lost....He has also won just as many big fights....Hell show me anyone else active who has been in as many big fights win or lose?...There isn't anyone...Hopkins, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Jones or anyone else out there.....

With that being said IMO Shane is a better fighter then Oscar ever was at any point in their careers if you matched them up Mosley comes out ahead....Both are on the decline and should call it a day with in two or so fights before the losses start effecting their legecy....

Well Cotto winning against Mosely is about the samen as PBf beating Oscar in my opinion. And it is unfair to judge Cotto to atg because he may have more then what we are seeing now.

Give Cotto a chance to accomplish things like beating Margarito and Mayweather, then people will think differently of him.

Right now they are both in same league...Neither is elite....Both have enough to give any elite fighter a hard time and maybe win if the night is right but it is obvious neither is the fighter they once were...if that makes any sense

Are Shane and Oscar the same fighters they were 5-10 years ago...of course not. But that being said...i had the Shane vs. Cotto fight a draw. So despite the fact that he no longer has the great speed of his youth...the fact that he nearly beat a younger champ at this point of his career, is a testament to his great heart and ability. I don't see Shane being a dominant force anymore...but going by his last fight against Cotto...i don't see how anyone can say he no longer can compete in big fights. Is it smart for fighters to keep fighting past their prime...probably not. But i don't see Shane embarrassing himself in the near future.

My point exactly... Though the Cottodonians, think him beating Mosely was monumental, but Mayweather beats Delahoya and he gets credit for beating an old man

Well its like this PBF is the top guy so when he does somthing it is ripped apart and him not competing with the top welters is not helping him. But things willl change he will face Cotto and we while know whos the best.

Sorry ICB... Everyone knows I'm not a big Cotto fan but here goes!

Younger Shane Mosley vs Miguel Cotto = Mosley still doesn't use his jab enough... Cotto the same way
ODLH vs Miguel Cotto = ODLH by UD
Jose Luis Lopez vs Miguel Cotto = Lopez by TKO
Ike Quartey vs Miguel Cotto = Ike was good but... C'mon. Don't see it
Pernell Whitaker vs Miguel Cotto = Whitaker by UD
Felix Trinidad vs Miguel Cotto = Tito by KO

Sorry. Just needed to fix some errors

I wouldn't rate Cotto any higher if he beats Margarito. The elite 90's WW's were a step up from today's WWs. Tony isn't as good the names listed, other than maybe Quartey.

The current WW division is deep and interesting, but it's not as strong as the Mosley, Tito, Oscar, Quartey era. I would favor Cotto against Quartey, because he's a more complete boxer. I could see Cotto being very competitive with prime Oscar, maybe winning a close one, but I would still give the edge to ODLH. Tito KO's Cotto. Whitaker probably outpoints him. Prime Shane wins. I'm not sure about Lopez. I haven't seen him fight enough to judge.

If Cotto beats Mayweather, perhaps I'll change my opinion.

The record shows that Delahoya beat Quartey but everybody and there motherknows Ike got the bone that night, Ike was Awesome and his Jab is great and had the heart and skill to beat Cotto

Truth is at this stage Cotto had a bit harder time with Mosley then he should have....Was it a really good night for Shane or bad night for Cotto?...Not sure and would not make judgement until I see both fight again....It was obvious that the Shane of 3 or 4 years ago would have made an easy night of Cotto....Not dis-crediting Cotto because I like him as a fighter....I even said that it is unfair to judge him against elite of the 90's because he has not peaked yet...and in truth DLH, Mosley, Pernell are all on the top 50 ATG list P4P....Not really being fair to Cotto
