I guess the only way to know what they'll be like to spar is to go and see! Tricky really! One day we'll have to go somewhere there are lots of midgets for a sparring tour!

Congrats on the run! That's and awesome time!

    Thanks Sharla.

We've got a bunch of newbies at the gym in the last couple of months. If they stick around I'll have some potential sparring. As it is right now the sparring is a bit...eh. Just me jabbing and moving around, trying not to run anyone off. Hopefully they'll be up to speed in another month or two.

Tomorrow we're heading over to the other gym....should be interesting. I have a feeling this gal is going to go all out and try to knock me out. I saw her at a restaurant last week and she's one of those real loud mouth, center of attention, thinks she's tough girls, so.....yeah. She's going to come out swinging and trying to show everyone how hot snot she is. Her coach told us that we'll basically be wasting our time but he'd appreciate if we came out and showed his boxers what hard work and dedication will do for you. Hmmm....

I'll report back on Saturday. lol

Where is everyone?! It's been dead around here.

Well, sparring with the other gym was a waste of time. Other than entertainment value.

I'm a bit worried going in to this next tournament. I've only been able to spar with my coach (who is injured) and he has a style that makes me fight the exact opposite of how I really need to fight. He's nothing like the type of opponents I face. And the rest of the work I get is with newbies who are much bigger and slower than me so I spend a lot of time just moving and jabbing.

    Oh well.

I've been lurking around. A lot on my plate plus not feeling puter social, so only been stopping in here and there and playing a few arcade games, but also have been reading.

Good luck to you in your tour, and thanks for your words on my training log. (I actually like high school a lot, just ran into a few probs when i first got there...mostly sorted now)

We were all set to leave for PALs tomorrow morning and my coach got a call that his father in-law is dying and now the trip is off. I'm gutted. I really believed this was my last chance to win a major tournament. I swear I have the worst luck when it comes to boxing. You really can't make this shit up, the luck I have with these things. I'm beginning to wonder what I did in a past life to have such shit luck.

Competitive running is looking better all the time.

Oh yeah, I know. It's near impossible to find bouts, that's why I was counting on this tournament. Erg!

AAARRRGH! I just found out that a gal I've beat TWICE is there. Motherf*cker!

Anyone know any good witch doctors? I need to turn this luck thing around.

    Yeah it can suck.

I can be a bit superstitious for a scientist though and at the risk of sounding really corny perhaps this was meant to happen (the tournament cancellation not the death - sorry to hear about that).

Maybe you need a couple of weeks off of competition to get things into gear training wise? I mean sure your efforts are great but you said yourself sparring has been limited lately since you haven't had access to the right people.

Maybe this is your opportunity to perhaps look at more interclub sparring without offending your coach since I'm assuming he'll need to take some time off anyway?

I've just been away in the UK for a month so haven't been online much - I am actually interested in your log though so keep us updated .

While I met a lot of people who have inspired me in a few different areas of my life. As far as boxing and physical conditioning goes I was really happy and encourage by meeting Scrap and learnt a lot in only a few days - after not learning much at all in my old gym for more than the last year I spent there.

I've decided that my time off of boxing leading up to this trip has being good for me in the long run. Just working out now how to put everything I've learned from everyone into action.

Seriously you have soooo much time to win other big tournaments ahead of you - you'll get your break in one form or another at some stage and you'll do great!

    Worship Sourpuss,bow at her gate
    That is all
And if its who Im pretty sure it is,losing on points in the Championships is no biggie
And judging(again if Im right on who Im talking to) your height and weight schematics dont lend itself to a knockout, work away and work the jab

    Haha, thanks TM.

Yeah, I'm tall for my weight and I don't give a lot of 8 counts and never had a stoppage. I usually just either keep up or out work my opponents. We'll see how this next one goes.....

One thing to think on,The Mongols against the Russians strung them out and then struck
In boxing make her chase you away using the jab, then step in with a well timed hook, let her momentum bring half of your power to you

I clicked on your profile and just realized that you're a girl.

haha...I've seen you call her dude, man, and a few other guy catch phrases, and almost said something, but it was more fun to just smile and move on.
