I'm struggling to think of camp ideas. I guess it'd be easier to think of something with a few more details. Have you guys picked a location - are you going away or is it more just that you've commited to train together as a group for a while.
If you're going away what's the countryside like around there and what facilities do you have available? Do you still have to work or are you taking time off? If you have the whole day off you could use some non-training time to study videos and go through tactical ideas.
One thing I find I don't have much time is to really think about / study in normal training is strategy. You can to a certain extent while training but you also have to keep warm, keep moving and train so I find I only have time to nut out simple concepts then.
Also taking some recent tape of your sparring so you can all critique each other might be good too. Not to mention taping sparring you do together - reviewing it and aiming to improve set things in the next session. I've been doing this weekly with a training partner in my gym and I think it has helped me a lot.
I guess it could be a good time to exchange ideas on physical conditioning, stretching etc. Maybe you could all bring a few ideas on these things, maybe a book or something your friends might not have seen and go through them together?
Good luck with the bout if you're competing by the way too.![]()
