Disloyalty from ungrateful fighters ain't exactly helping the sport either.
i know VD but theres a reason why he did what he did. Same goes to guys like Guerrero or Ortiz jump ship from different promoter.. They need more exposure that they deserve.. Bottomline is Shaw did shitty things before. He can't focus on boxing due to his involvement with elitexc events at the same time when donaire and kirkland are trying to land big fights. We need to weigh both sides. Shaw got problems with other fighters before like winky and lacy.. the same problem that both kirkland and donaire is facing with Gary. I can't take away the only good thing that Shaw did to donaire by bringing him a title shot at darchi. but after that its nothing..
Fighters always have somebody in the ear. Sometimes somebodies. People telling them how great they are. And how they deserve this and that. And how there not getting what there worth. Filling a fighters head with nonsense. It's when the fighter starts to pay attention that things start to sour. Donaire started to pay attention right away. Donaire convinced himself he was a Super Star and started making moronic demands. He forgot what was done for him.

Shaw gave Donaire his title shot when had less than 20 career fights. A main event fight on ShowTime. 4 months later Donaire is back on ShowTime defending his title for the first time against Luis Maldonado. His fight was no suppose to be telivised. But Shaw convinced ShowTime to show it. I don't know about you. But back to back title fights on ShowTime in 4 months is pretty fukking good expourse. Shaw had big plans for Donaire. But nothing came about. Donaire insane demands killed everything. No fights were being made. Donaire blamed Shaw. What Donaire failed to realize was that eventhough he beat Darchinyan he was still unknown to everybody but Boxing junkies.

Now Donaire has left Shaw. Has his expourse gotten better? You tell me. His next fight is in the Philippines against a good opponent for chump change. To my knowledge that fight is not set to be telivised anywhere. Under Shaw Donaire-Martinez would be on ShowTime or HBO. And Donaire would be making a lot more money. To me Donaire has "flash in the pan" written all over him.
