Yes Nonito is faster than Vic, and more skilled but no way in hell has he got more power. Yes he KO'd Vic, but Ottke KO'd Mundine, even powderpuff fighters can get big KO's if they land perfectly. It probably had more to do with Vic leaving himself completely open and having a dodgy chin than brute power.
Donaire is very aware of the word "open"...

Donaire said: "From what I've seen, he's pretty much the same old Darchinyan. He lunges, he's open when he punches and he just wants to get his punches through, disregarding his defense in the process. One thing that changed though is that he's not as aggressive as he was, which makes him more vulnerable to me because that's my game."

Its funny he should say that, cos almost all boxing experts, commentators and fans have noted that Vic has slightly improved his defense. I guess they are all wrong and Nonito is right. Still think he should be worrying about Martinez and not living in the past. When is he gonna stop living off that one win?
I agree, Donaire should take care of the fight against Martinez...

But Donaire (and his supporters) will always cherish the way he knocked out Darchinyan cold... It will be in his record and resume forever...

Question: "Who knocked out Vic Darchinyan cold?"
Answer: "Nonito Donaire Jr."
