I'm sure there's a pretty reasonable explanation for this, ie since all the blood has been pushed to your head and that most people don't stand perfectly straight the gravitational force acts like a torque, hence a small horizontal component is taken from the vertical causing the scales to miss calculate. But hell I have no idea, might have to give this a try.
Personally, if ever it's true that it works, I would go with Salty on that one, an unequal repartition of blood falsifying the scale'S result for a handful of minutes at best, I really doubt that someone's losing weight for real with that technique, especially as it is mostly the blood that would cause such decreasing.
