The only reason he fought ODLH at 154 was cuz he knew he was used up.

Roach HAS to make stipulations like that or people would be able to exploit the fact that Manny is just plain fighting bigger men and he wants to make the advantage of normal weight to blow up weight negligable. If you're fighting 10 to 14 lbs out of your prefered weight class then you need to make sure the guys that wear this weight normally aren't going to take advantage of fighting a much smaller man.

...and yes, the Cotto stiputation was well documented.
How was Floyd bigger than Gatti or Hatton? And if Floyd fought a used up DLH then what did Pac fight? A corpse DLH?
I was wondering about the Gatti thing myself. Wasn't that like Floyd's 3rd fight or something at 140? And I wouldn't exactly call Hatton a 'natural' 140lber considering how chubby he gets. You ask me, Oscar was a game opponent, fighting in his weight class, with his ring and his gloves. The guy just got beat.
Yeah, I retracted my Gatti statement... I got a little overzelous making my point. That was NOT Oscar that he fought that night... That was a shell. Game? Of course he was game. He was one of the best fighters of our generation but that doesn't mean that he was in his prime. Oscar was well out of his prime. That was my point.
