How do you conclude this about Floyd? What are you going by? You are aware that Floyd has never asked for a catchweight or any fight to be above welterweight, right? Roach is the one who wants the weight to be his way. He even had a stipulation of against Cotto of $1 million a pound if he went over that catchweight. Roach even threatened to call the Cotto fight off if Cotto came in at 147. You must have Floyd and Roach confused.

Floyd later in his career, like Bernard Hopkins during his middleweight reign has made a career of fighting high profile smaller men. Gatti, Hatton, JJM... Roach HAS to make stipulations like that or people would be able to exploit the fact that Manny is just plain fighting bigger men and he wants to make the advantage of normal weight to blow up weight negligable. If you're fighting 10 to 14 lbs out of your prefered weight class then you need to make sure the guys that wear this weight normally aren't going to take advantage of fighting a much smaller man.
