maryweather cant should roll and duck all night on a guy that will fall and get up. . and fight, fall get and fight. maryweatehr is use to fighter freezing up on him after they get a taste of his speed. maryweathers knockout power is gone. Ortiz has plenty. i think Ortiz is going to shock everyone. i think mayweather is going to go down in the fight and his legs are not ever going to be the same the rest of the night. Ortiz will keep his belt and give mayweather his first L on the 17th. Mayweather is not dealing with a hatton, a mosely, a marquez. . he is dealing with a hungry young puncher with a very good chin. mayweathers time grows short and he is under estimating Ortiz as the whole bocxing world is. just like they did with Berto/ortiz.
No offense man, but this 100% wrong. Ortiz quit against Maidana and was outboxed for quite a few rounds by Peterson. What will happen here is Mayweather will outbox Ortiz early and take his will to win and probably ko him. I guarantee. We can sig bet this one.

Maidana, Peterson and Berto gave Ortiz all he could handle. Floyd would have destroyed all those fighters. Mosley destroyed Margarito and people thought Mosley was back and better than ever and than Floyd destroyed Mosley. Ortiz had a good win against Berto so people are high on him but Ortiz is a flawed fighter and Floyd is not. I am not a floyd fan and would hope Ortiz would win but I am a realist. Dont get me wrong, every fighter has a chance in every fight but Ortiz chances are pretty slim!

I dont like Floyds attitude (although he does seem mellower) and I dont like his safety first style but he gets the job done.

If Floyd wins a close fight with Ortiz, we will have to permanently say goodbye to the Pacquiao-Mayweather match. The only way that Floyd will get the confidence to fight Pac is for him to KO Ortiz within 6 rounds and Pac struggles to win or gets another draw against Marquez.

But I would rather see Floyd lose than wait to see if that fight will happen. Maybe losing will bring him down to earth and he may try to get riskier fights to regain his reputation.

Poor Ortiz, this kids in way over his head. You can see it in the little sit down they had with Max Kellerman. Ortiz is way too dumb to beat Mayweather. Ortiz beat Berto on a night were Berto just didnt have it from the start. Ive watched that fight at least five times and you can tell in his ring walk that Berto knew he didnt have on that particular night. Now Ortiz thinks he's king of the ring , but Floyd is gonna tear him up. I dont think Floyd will ko him but i do think he will win all but maybe 1 or 2 rounds. Just my personal opinion.

You said he is both "in over his head" and he's "too dumb".. Both are probably accurate. But if I'm going to pick an underdog who is in over his head, I want one who is too dumb to know it.

Floyd's hands are too brittle to carry on too long, think he has 2 years tops.

I'll have the same conclusion IF he

See. Floyd knows his shoulder roll defense technique would be
    completely useless against Pac.
How can Floyd win against a guy
who's got the ability to unleash 80-
100 punches per round with such
    accuracy and precision?

    <br />
That's an easy one.. Manny gets hit often and countered, the shoulder roll is an offensive mechanism too.. Believe me while PAC is trying to Peck away at the shoulder roll PAC will eat clean left hooks and rights on the rebound..

I dont like Floyd either but i'd hate to see him lose any other way than a severe beating in an all out war or totally outpointed or both.
If he gets tagged and Ortiz gets in a lucky shot, our world will be full of " Oh yeah buts'.

I want him tested out to the max not beat on an off day or by luck.

When was the last time Floyd seriously hurt someone with one punch?... Hatton? Lol. I've never seen Manny walked straight forward with fully exposed chin. Floyd aint got balls to fight him. Only averages 34 punches per round cuz he's got brittle hands... FACT! He's very aware he's going to be force to fight an all-out-war with a risk taker like Pac.

Manny will just spin Floyd around and pop him in many weird angles all night.

Keep playing yourself and ignore that except against Shane(who didn't throw) PAC has been getting hit more and more.. That's an irrefutable fact!! PAC punches in volume, but Floyd ranks tops in connect % and not getting hit.. Don't believe me? Look it up and see for yourself.. Look at the connect % of his opponents against him and tell me what stands out to you?

Floyd is proficient at every facet of boxing.. Inside, outside, offense and defense.. PAC has more vulnerabilities and Floyd will capitalize, he always has. When wad the last time PAC got roughed up on the inside? How will he handle it? I know PAC loves to eat straight rights and uppercuts.. Floyd serves those up with ease. Anything Marquez does Floyd can do better

PAC has been getting hit more and more
So what? He's been getting a lot more lately by bigger and harder punchers than Floyd. But he punish them back 3 times. He inflict more damage against them than they to to him. And Floyd don't wanna be apart of that.

I don't think so. Styles make fights. Sure, Marquez gave Pac some troubles, and Floyd beat Marquez easily. But Marquez looked soft around the waist and was very slow, he was dominated by Mayweather and dropped in the second round. So there it is, Mayweather (who didn't make weight) dominated a man who gave Pacquiao fits but did it at a weight where Marquez was ineffective so we can count this one out. Oscar DeLa Hoya is another man (Hatton is the other) that both men fought. When Pacquiao fought DeLa Hoya, Oscar was completely weight drained and was far past it, being dominated and stopped in eight rounds. When Mayweather fought DeLa Hoya he won by a split decision but Oscar got closer to beating Mayweather than anyone has before.

If you are referring to boxing skills, you may be right. Floyd can do better but would he be able to. This is a different Pac compared to the one JMM fought with twice and we'll find out in their third fight if I'm right.

    And

.... Marquez takes risk and would fight anyone whereas Mayweather would not.

Theres a blueprint to beat the pacman..hes lost a few times already.

This saying will decide who wins if they ever fight.."a great boxer beats a great fighter ten times out of ten"

Manny pac is still on that timothey bradley level..even khan would give him problems.

If bob arum and freddie roach had to put a bet on the winner and there lives depended it on it they know it would be money everyday..and so do u.

But Floyd, even if he indeed is a greater boxer than Manny, won't beat Manny if he DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO FIGHT HIM.

Several posters here have expressed confidence that Manny is not a match for Floyd, but does Floyd have that same confidence?
