I did not realise he beat Vinny Paz, Davis was a bit like Barclay with a big left hook. Did he have a lazy eye? He really laid it all on the line for his title fight unlike Zab Judah and Ortiz in their recent fights.

I c what u mean by comparing Davis with Barkley , but ,
P4P , Davis actually had a much better chin than Barkley , whom was KDd by Duran and KOd by Benn & Sims , then stopped by Toney .
In Barkley's defense , it must b said that he was really drained in most if not all of those fights .
Meldrick Taylor hit Davis low quite often when he got the decision over him for the WBA title , not a convincing performance at all , warranted an immediate rematch that never happened .
Davis is underrated by almost every 1 , and forgotten by most .
Starling , Brown , Quartey and Jose Luis Lopez were very good as well and underrated as well .

There was nothing controversial about Meldrick Taylor vs Aaron Davis, it was a good performance from Meldrick Taylor and he beat Aaron Davis clearly.

Davis was the more absorbent sponge. Those guys beat the hell out of each other through out.
