Haye needs to stay retired because he has no chance of beating Vitali and even trying would be for the money. He should try and build up his credibility but he just wants the short cut to a title fight and the money, when that is not offered he will retire. He does not have the desire to fight the contenders for the title, he believes he is too good and should have the divine right to fight for the title when he is not good enough.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Yeah this retirement was just a negotiating tactic. Its all he has got left to negotiate with cuz he doesnt have anything else in order to force Vitali into making a move.

I think the Klitschko's might be trying to talk him out of retirement because he's still the most credible challenger to their dominance, which after the showing against Wlad is yet another horrible indictment of the heavyweight division.

Haye is a pretender, who really isn't a really "credible challenger", but Vitali could likely make a great payday, and unlike his brother Wlad, get the pleasure of knocking out this pretentious clown.

Be fine with me however, if Haye just disappeared from the face of the earth, and never fought again.

Unless Vitali starts to get a little personal and pricks Haye's ego enough to get him to man up, I suspect you may well get your wish of him never fighting again.

My gut feeling is even if a fight doesn't get made with Vitali right away, Haye won't 'really' retire for a few more years or at least until he loses again. Haye just likes to hear himself blither and/or keep the pot stirred, I don't think he realizes what a pisant everyone thinks he is.

    Default Haye to retire...............maybe

David Haye signals retirement by not renewing license - ESPN

Haye has chosen not to renew his fight license. He'll be back, he can't make good money doing anything else.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

If the asshole decided to renew his license 6 months from now, how fucking hard would that be? This is just more games this clown is playing.

Haye embarrassed himself in his last fight, not just the verbal trash he threw at Wlad but also blaming his little pinky for the poor performance. Standing on the table at the press conference, was just desperate. Now he wants a direct shot and Vitali after that performance and he thinks the boxing public will pay good money again for it. He is delusional, Haye is not that good and certainly not worthy of being given the opportunity. If he is threatening to retire, he should be told to leave the boxing game for good. Vitali trying to tempt him and encourage him to fight is also desperate and not necessary but just shows the state of the heavyweight division is very poor.

Thank God!! I don't need to see that no heart, shit talking asshole in the ring ever again. I hope to God that Vitali doesn't call him out, because he does not deserve another big pay day.

Now if only Mayweather would take his lead and never fight again. I'd break out the dancing turd for that one.

I hate the guy but like him to come back see if he can at least beat the Chambers of the world which i thought was close to or above his level. But eh he is rich now and does not care i think for the most part.

I'm a fan of the guy and have been since the start, the way he fought against Wlad was pathetic however and quitting after a loss like that makes his fans feel like we were taken for a ride.

He needs to man up and be a bit less of a cunt.
