From what Booze has said, they kissed once a long time ago when they were drunk, way before Booze and the new woman were together. The girl he kissed is in a committed relationship with his best friend and he's made it clear that he just wants to be friends with her.

Being upset about something like that and making Booze feel like he has to choose between them is possessive and controlling, and if the situations were reversed the man would be castigated for acting like that.

Your girlfriend needs to chill out and just accept your honesty for what it is which is a guy trying to be genuine. I think many women, knowing their own base nature and knowing that most men are base at heart too, have a very hard time when they come across someone that is genuinely honest. All you can do is be open and if she has a hard time dealing with that then that is her problem. I wouldn't change anything just to make her happy. You can't dump your best mate because of an irrational woman.

some couples/people have a don't ask don't tell policy, some have full disclosure.

Bilbo, I do prefer honesty but he did kinda shoot himself in the foot by having her about in a 'friendly' manner, e.g. Facebook.

She could of course be vindictive, like me, who has agreed to meet for coffee, someone I slept with who I know is a cheat & a liar, who is back with his ex.
