    Calzaghe is Welch not Italian
    His father is Italian
De La Hoya's father is Mexican yet what country did Oscar win his Olympic Medal for? USA

Katsidis lineage comes from Greece yet is he considered a Greek fighter? no

JC as never number 1 p4p and we all know it.

BUT - 'Past his best Hopkins' has cropped up again! I don't care if Hopkins is 65 years old, his performances against Tarver and Pavlik are better than anything he produced in his so called prime (except for maybe the Tito fight)

2008 Hopkins beats 1993 Hopkins FACT!!!

Tarver and Pavlik were good style matchups for an older Hopkins.

Pavlik relied heavily on his 1-2 combination. Once Hopkins took that away with lateral movement, angles and defence, Pavlik looked lost and had no answers.

Tarver was also a fighter who relied on his jab and big left hand and was normally most effective being the counter puncher. Hopkins forced him to come forward and used movement, angles and quick right hands to dominate him.

I agree that a 1993 Hopkins loses to a 2008 Hopkins but a 1993 Hopkins was not in his prime.

A prime Hopkins years were around 1999 to 2003.

Hopkins was still a good fighter against Joe and is a good win for him but as it stands, he was 43 years old so certainly no longer at his best.

Hopkins has never fought better than he did against pavlik and Jean pascal to win WBC light heavyweight title and he will admit that himself!! Hopkins was so gutted that he lost to calzaghe he always avoids talking about him like when max Kellerman was interviewing him after the chad Dawson fight .

I tend to disagree, Hopkins was at his best imo from around 95 to 2004 imo.
