Hmm, interesting. The U.S. takes in Cubans as a spite to Castro. So Rigondeaux is far from one of Castro's boys, actually quite the opposite. Their defection is a perfectly legal process here in the United States. Odd.
Anyways, I'm big on Rico Ramos but it will take a KO against Rigondeaux and unfortunately I don't see it happening.
For what's it's worth, Rigondeaux defected to the U.S. in July 2007, a month later he decided to return home to Cuba.
In February 2009, Rigondeaux defected again, but only after Cuban leader Fidel Castro stated that Rigondeaux would not box again for the Cuban team because of the 2007 defection. So basically he's back in the U.S., only because he was rejected by Castro and can't fight on the Cuban team.
Having said that, i'd like to see this thread be about the fight tomorrow night, Rigondeaux figures to be too much for Rico, but i'd love to see the upset.
