Martin Power looking pretty shopworn tonight, as the guys are saying its time to say goodbye.

Building up to the main event now.

It's a shame but your right, no shame in walking away now, was made to look old by a good prospect. Price looks calm and like he means business.

Well, that was quick. Price never got a chance to have his chin tested. Excellent finishing. Looks like Price's power really does deliver. KO1 Price. At least I was close on the round with my pick of KO2 McDermott.

No I think it would be a war that would go either way, Furys got heart and has the potential to truely test prices chin. I think this fight needs to happen and it will be a great British heavyweight fight.

I wish I could agree with you Tam, but my problem is that Fury just doesn't seem to have much in terms of a chin, and I reckon Price has shown that he can pop well enough to see Fury off early.

The problem is that I like Fury and want him to do well, I just think that if Mick is smart then he'll find an European title or something like that to vacate for. What's the title held by that Helenius fella?

I am sorry but I just can't stand Fury, and have seen very little to recommend him on ability or personality. The guy has no class and even in pure boxing terms has little to recommend him. Price has got great potential and I can't comment on his chin until he gets tested as a Pro, but I'm certainly not going to knock him for destroying most of his opponents before they get a chance to test him. He could be the future and unlike Fury he seems genuinely proud to be English Champion and does not have an over inflated opinion of his own abilities. If they fight I hope Price knocks him out and then goes on to expose Helenius.

I guess we're both foreseeing the same result, just a different opinion about Fury's personality. Hennessy should be scrambling around looking for some sort of get-out right now, otherwise Fury's 0 is gonna go.

I think Fury needs to be a bit more focused in his boxing, he does seem like things outside of the ring affected his performance that night. I agree he took a lot of punches in his last fight and it could have been worse he could have got stopped. I think it showed he has heart when he came off the floor in his last fight. He took some heavy blows and got back up to win the fight. That deserves credit IMO.

As for price he has shown us that he will test Furys chin but will prices chin also get tested? I remember watching price getting sparked out in an amateur fight, I think it was the olympics. That shows his chin at this level could be tested and Fury has the power to test his chin and unlike McDermott I think he will be able to last more than a round.

I think it's a great fight that could go ether way and for both fighters if they win they deserve to be fighting on the world level.

I had £10 on the first round for price @18/1. I knew it would be a quick night for Price. As for Fury, well if he takes on Price he will meet a very similar end to Big "Fat" John.

Price did take a couple to the chin when he was waring with John McD, so he can obviously take a bit of a shot.

A bigger puncher could have done more damage maybe, Fury is heavy handed, but does not have the skill and definitely the natural athleticism of Price.

Price by KO if they met.

It's nice to see an in shape and trim heavyweight fighting to be honest. That's why I like people like Price and Towers, they work hard in the gym, no flab on them in the slightest. Proper proffesional athletes. Like all the other weights. Not the usual heavyweight because your fat crew that has stained the division for so long.

So, where does Towers rank with in terms of Fury & Price and the other rising British heavyweights?

    Towers is much, much lower.

He has had less exposure (many of his fights didn't even make the TV cut on the Sky shows) and is ranked far less.

He's currently just knocking out journeymen, he's a similar build to Price and has great attributes.

For me though, it's him and Price as the top 2 heavies in this country.

The Chisora's, Fury's etc are just there pretending.
