Ortiz doesn't have the heart. Maidana and Floyd proved this.

I don't think he would need heart against Hatton. I honestly believe that fight would have been over within a couple of rounds. The combination of Hatton rushing in, him being a sucker for straight lefts, and Ortiz' size and power would make it a short night in my mind.

I like Hatton and I think he was a very good fight, but I just think that Ortiz would have been all wrong for him.

Spot on. Ortiz is bigger, stronger, equally fast and better boxer. His heart proven vs his fight with Berto. I'm talking about the Ortiz that beat Berto though.

Ortiz would have murdered Hatton. No doubt about it.

How can you say that at 140lb, when Ortiz achieved nothing at that weight in comparison to Hatton?

Ortiz destroys Hatton for me. Every fighter he's been in the ring with apart from Floyd has been knocked down at the very least..I don't think Hatton gets back to his feet. Ortiz is the kind of fighter you can't block punches with your face against and Hatton enjoyed doing that.

Hattons a great fighter but like somebody mentioned, he'd have kept away from Ortiz if their careers ran parralel - All wrong for him

What a load of rubbish Hatton in his prime, was more than a match for Maidana or Ortiz ,his relentless come forward style would have been to much for both these fighters.!
What ever you say Hatton would give his all win lose or draw, he was that type of fighter he mat not be to ever-ones taste but you would be a Jackass to say he's a bad fighter.

Neither Ortiz or Madiana are better boxers than Hatton. Why would Hatton have avoided either of them? Ortiz has demonstrated on more than one occasion that when it gets tough he does not like having it laid on him, he bottles it or resorts to blatant fouling, unlike Hatton who had the heart of a lion. Madiana has bigger cajones than Ortiz but is very hittable, if Khan floors him with a body shot then Ricky's hooks are going to finish him.

Thank you so much. I wanted to lay it on them like that, but I was so astonished by their ignorance that I couldn't organize my thoughts.

Respect for that post, my friend.
