I think no matter what his race is he is the "story" right now and they are going to push and protect him. Because they talk about his greatness and even comparing him to greats like Clyde Frazier and ignoring the fact he averages around 8 turnovers a game.

He's just their hype job right now, he'll go back to being a normal player after another month or so, or when his team faces a team that has a point guard that knows what defense is.
ESPN is bullshit...I am so tired of them being the one and only sports news outlet. Sportscenter is ok, but all the bullshit opinion forums really shows you that #1 Loads of their "talent" just follows a script and #2 loads of their "talent" just plays Devil's Advocate in fake arguments. ESPN really irritates me, I can't stand to watch it anymore. I'll watching the actual games they have, but the opinion shows NEVER!

Jeremy Lin is unique in that he's an Asian-American (another thing the liberal media loves, a hyphenated American ) that's good at basketball, but the main thing that stands out to me is that he's a Harvard graduate which is very rare in the pro sports world.

Something else I have heard recently is that they are talking about Lin's religion and comparing him with Tebow. Why does it matter? Why bring up a person's religion? It's an erroneous subject in the world of sports and how good or not good someone is. There have been great Christians, Jews, and Muslims in all sports, just like there have been people with low moral standings in all of sports...it doesn't fucking matter!!! Leave an athlete's choice of religion to the athlete!!!

Hard to do when you have these righteous jackasses spouting off and proselytizing instead of answering the first post-game/post-fight question that's asked every time. "Well, first I want to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for being there for me and making this possible, blah, blah, blah." (And obviously with Tebow, it was even less a matter of the media making it an issue -- the dude won't shut the fuck up about it.)

This is the biggest reason I can't be a huge fan of Andre Ward too.

I would love it if these guys would keep it to themselves and we didn't have to hear about it.
