That is what I was implying stopping Medina, who went on to be champion a couple of times later shows what a good performance that was. OK may have exaggerated Ton Johnson ability, but the man just refused to be beaten. That Naz would have done better against Barrera and he would not have been afraid to take on JMM.

    That's a fact.

If you offer a fighter a career high payday and home advantage and no rematch clause and they can choose the gloves and pick the referee yet they point blank REFUSE to fight what can you do?

With hindsight, Marquez knowing he goes on to be an all-time great, there's no doubt whatsoever he would have took a stunning one round KO loss to Naz just for the money. Fact.

    Nothing wrong with a loss.

So whats the crack then chaps? We all agreed that Naz was fucking awesome and it was gods will that he didnt get to spark Marquez and that he lost to Barrera (the cheat)?

    Nice.

Lets be honest - Barrera should have been disqualified for that totally unsporting head smash into the turnbuckle.

Naz is still unbeaten in this day and age. Fact.

The only real opinion i've given is - Marquez is an all-time great.

Any boxing fan that doesn't agree with this is being very harsh in my humble opinion. Fact.
