Mayorga only losses to the big names, well, and Cory Spinks. I don't see all that Rubio has to gain in this one but think he outclasses Mayorga. Give me Mayorga and Kirkland or Williams now we're talkingSloppy damage and carnage by the truck load.

I just wish Mayorga would fight

Thos has nothing to do with Rubio. This is King and Arum working together again and creating a name opponent for Chavez by Mayorga beating Rubio.
Mayorga needs a soft fight first, Rubio is too big for Mayorga to jump in after a year out and at his stage of career. Hopkins can do it but he looks after himself between fights.
Although after saying that, I think Hulk could be right. As long as Mayorga trains hard and comes in fit he stands a good chance. Maybe Chavez made Rubio look a bit stronger than he is, hes been stopped a few times before. That Michael Walker was a strong fully fledged middle who can punch and Mayorga took his shots and eventually beat him up!

"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Mayorga's definitely on his way out. But I'd love to see him beat Rubio... light up a cigarette at the post-fight interview.... and call out Margarito, calling him a pussy and going all "Clubber Lang" on him. The pre-fight buildups alone would be worth the money. No harm in dreaming, eh?

I think a motivated, in shape Mayorga (like the 1 that fought Cotto) destroys Rubio!
