I loss a lot of money beting against Hopkins. He surely made me respect him. So I can't go against him. But if anyone can beat him decisively, it has to be Dawson.

    Who wins?
Did you forget that Pascal already hurt and beat Dawson fairly comfortably?
That's a joke, right? It was a close fight. I'm not saying Dawson won, but he would have if he hadn't taken off the entire middle of the fight. That inclination is his real problem, as someone else here pointed out. If he is truly amped for a fight and fights every round, he dominates the division -- including this version of Hopkins, and definitely including Pascal (and Cloud). I think he's hungry enough for this particular fight that he'll do so. Beyond that, who knows -- bad habits die hard.

Being a fan of slick boxers, I still hope Dawson can step up and fight at his full potential going forward. At his best, he is an elite level guy. I may be in the minority, but I thought the win over Adamek was actually quite enjoyable to watch.
I don't think you are. His victory over Adamek may have been his best victory to date. I rate Adamek as having a p4p type of career in the sense that he's held titles in two divisions, one lineal title at cruiserweight, and beat a top ten Cris Arreola at heavyweight. It'll be even more impressive if Adamek beats Chambers in June. On that note, Dawson may be big enough to follow Adamek's footsteps and take a title at cruiserweight in a couple of years if he still is in the game.

Dawson should beat Bhop this time around. This is the first time I can recall that Hopkins has been completely quiet leading up to a fight. Odd, right? I haven't heard Bhop saying one disparaging thing about Dawson. Usually, it's, "I don't lose to a white boy," or the like, but in this camp, radio silence. One theory is that purosefully he's not trying to upset Dawson because he fears motivating Dawson might be the wrong tactic. He wants Dawson to come into the fight as unmotivated as possible in the hopes that Dawson takes rounds off. Dawson's worst enemy is his focus. Maybe a motivated Dawson is a more focused Dawson.

Dunno bout that one. For Dawsons sake that better be a flawed theory or Hopkins already dictating the tempo. If Dawson isn't motivated enough to show some fire in the gut and finally make a statement in career then he's not getting there. Physically Dawson has all the tools but I've never seen him 'pounce' and demand the issue. If he goes in trying to out Hopkins Hopkins shame on him. Dawsons boogie man is in his own head, mentally I still think these guys couldn't be further apart.
