What's next for Haye

Arreola and Adamek are both more deserving for a shot. But why doesn't Haye get himself invited to the elimination tournament the IBF is pushing?

Why are Arreola and Adamek more deserving? They've both already been stopped by Vitali. Both have never won a "world" title.

In fact, who the hell have they beat at heavyweight that puts them in front of Haye? Audley Harrison is about the level of their best wins.

My point is, Arreola and Adamek have been heavies a lot longer than Haye, who waltzed in and fought: "Circus Man" Valuev, John Ruiz (no explanations needed), and Audley Harrison (ditto). Somehow, that "warranted" a shot at Wlad, one that he proceeded to throw in the garbage can with his lack of effort.

Arreola and Adamek are proven quantities that would actually fight Wlad, not run for 12 rounds and blame their big toe or something ridiculous like that. Arreola has quality wins against people like Chazz Witherspoon (23-0 at the time), and Jameel McCline. Adamek beat Arreola, plus Michael Grant and Eddie Chambers. In other words, they've paid their dues. Haye (and you) thinks that his mouth alone warrants him shots at world titles at heavyweight. He's wrong.

But this is all academic. Reports are that Arreola will get the next shot at Wlad, who Haye doesn't want to see anyway. Haye's only hope of getting a Klitschko is somehow landing a fight with Vitali.... and that's hoping the public gets a collective case of amnesia and forgets what happened the last time Haye stepped into a ring with a Klitschko.

Since the Chisora fight, the Brit public which makes up 90% of his fanboy base, seem to be in love with Haye again. There's not much doubt that they'll be willing now to shell out big PPV quid for Haye vs. Vitali. I bet this fight gets made in the next month or so.

Steve Bunce is a hopeless twit, I take it he predicted Chisora would win then? Haye may be a punk, but I give him a very good chance to beat Vitali these days. A few years back he would've been tofu, but Vitali is looking so old and just as slow as Chisora. At the very least it's an intruiging fight, there is no reason it shouldn't happen.

Steve Bunce is fairly anti Haye now, or at least he was before this fight. Probably because he works for Warren now and as we know Chisora is a Warren fighter. It's not like the setanta days (which I think your referring to) when Bunce was so pro Haye it was quite sickening even for me as a Haye fan.

I do think Haye has a good chance with Vitali now though. I really see so many weakness' in him these days. I've always said Haye would never beat a prime Vitali but he is a long way removed from that now!

I don't think we should get over excited about the magnitude of this fight.

Yes, they were well matched, and yes haye and Chosora used their usual bombast and unpleasantness to sell the fight to a public starved of seeing world class fighters ..... but what actually happened was that a B Grade fighter beat a C Grade fighter here.

Chisora was slow and ponderous, he does not have the skills to compete at high level, and Haye (while showing decent power) was technically poor and at least 2 sto9ne lighter than a world class heavyweight needs to be these days.

Haye will continue to demonstarte his lack of taste and respect for the sport by howling and insulting whichever Klitschko is in his sights at the moment. He shouldn't get into the ring with either of them as they would still both beat him, and Vitali might actually hurt him a lot too.

Chisora will 'sink back into Bolivian.' (to quote a genuine world class fighter from the past :-)
