If that doesn't go through imagine Haye taking on Price or Fury?? These Would be massive fights in the UK and Haye has shown that when he fights taller fighters he can struggle. I think Price has a better chance than Fury, but I reckon Price might be a bit too big for Haye? What do u think?
Out of all the other Brits I'd give Price most chance of beating Haye. Haye would absolutely obliterate Fury. The thing is though price has never been in with anyone anywhere near Haye's level yet and there are a lot f questions he needs to answer before we can really start matching him up with the likes of Haye. I'd like to see Price and Chisora next year, I think that would give us some indication of where he is in comparison to Haye!
I think Haye and price have done a fair bit of sparring together.
Yes thats right. Haye had him in for the Klitschko fight. Price seemed pretty keen to dismiss any fight with Haye on saturday night. Now was that because he didn't feel he was ready or was it as he said "a fight with me makes no sense for David now"? It's a fight I wouldn't mind seeing in 18 months from now but I'd be surprised if we ever did see it.
Yeah I heard they sparred together for the klit fight, I wonder how this spar went. I think it's pretty clear Price has a lot of respect for Haye and maybe he doesn't want to get in there with him which is fair enough.

I think Price needs to step up the competition levels now though, he's the best in Britain IMO, maybe one behind Haye after that solid performance. I think Price should face Chisora soon to see where he compares to Haye and Vitali. But he's on track though, I just wish he was a bit more active and I know that's not entirely his fault with Maloney losing his sky deal, but Price is a future world champion I reckon and he needs the best exposure possible and moving a bit quicker with his competition levels, because he is more than capable of knocking any heavyweight out I reckon.
    Great post.

I agree 100%. I don't know if it's been announced officially yet but Price has got a contract to fight on Boxnation. I hope it's all Maloneys cards and then if Hatton went there too the £10 a month would be even more worth it. I'd like to see Price get in with some ex world title challengers now. I think he already has the beating of Arreola, Chambers and Adamek so I'd be disappointed if he's not fought at that level 12 months from now.

Chisora will be matched up easily for the next 12 months I think to get some W's back on his record but I think he'll be back and fight Price at the back end of next year. Price for me would take him in around 8.

Its a shame sky sports cant get behind Price because I really do think he is capable of doing something in the heavyweight division, maybe even more than Haye with his size. Sky sports will be gutted when Price is going places on boxnation if this is the case I think, because I genuinely believe when the Klitschkos go Price will be up there in with the best in division. Hes looked good so far Price, I hope he carries on!

I actually think Price could be the man to end Wlads reign. Now if they fought now I have no doubt Wlad wins BUT the rate at which Price is getting better and the fact he seems to be handling himself outside the ring very well too gives me a lot of hope for Price over the next 10 years. More than anything though I'm dying to see him in with Fury. A good mate of mine really rates Fury and I can't wait to tell him "I told you so!".

As for Sky, they've pissed me off recently. I know that casual fans aren't bothered about seeing lower level fights but I like watching the young kids coming through and trying to pick out which ones can make it to the very top. Now with only Khan and Matchroom left on Sky, and the fact that they are basically pinning everything on Khan, Brook, Froch and Prizefighter we are getting very little in the way of actual boxing and that is a real shame. When I heard they were making an F1 Channel I was kind of hoping we'd get a Sky Boxing channel too, but that looks very unlikely now and barring Matchroom and certain HBO fights that they have signed up for Sky show no boxing.

Boxnation has been something of a saviour in that respect for me, they're not as professional as Sky in the build up etc. But they are getting better and they show quite a lot of shows really. They've got Broner on this weekend and then Aydin vs Guerrero with George Groves on the undercard next week. And I can't wait for Mitchell vs Burns either, I see that being one of the fights of the year.

I am a bit confused as to why sky sports has made matchroom a monopoly for their broadcasting, it really is unfair on a lot of fighters who would want exposure through sky sports but now cant get it? I was very surprised when I first heard the news but now that it is in action the likes of Price will have no choice but to go down the boxnation route to gain TV exposure.

I personally think boxnation will continue to improve, i saw today that they have secured the rights to more championship boxing...Cloud-Pascal, Steglitz-Abraham, Bailey-Alexander, Matthysse -Olusegun for the WBC 140 belt so Garcia has vacated already...madness!! However, all good fights going to boxnation, I havent heard much from sky sports' schedule? I think £10 per month isnt too bad to be honest.

Frank Warren seemed pleased with himself on saturday night so my bet is that they got a lot of subscribers for the Haye-Chisora fight. The thing is they had the 2 month for the price of one in the Sun too so people who get that extra month will get to see some of the fights you've mentioned. Clever move by Boxnation and I hope they keep on growing.

Yes I think they will do, I wonder how sky will respond as well, matchroom is a strong promotion company no doubt they will bring us some very good fights. Interesting times for boxing in the UK IMO. I wonder where Ricky Hatton will go to if he comes back

I wonder where Hatton is going to go with his promotions. I hope it is Boxnation to be honest. Channel 5 is ok but they have to fit Boxing in. At least on dedicated sport and boxing channels we get good build up.

Matchroom own the darts tournaments and darts, unbelievably, is Sky Sports' biggest ratings success/subscription seller by far apart from the football. So this gives matchroom a lot of leverage when it comes to boxing on Sky and they're obviously taking advantage of it by getting everybody else booted. And it helps them attract fighters to sign for them too. Probably the main reason Froch signed for Matchroom instead of Warren was that he was made aware of what was happening with Sky.

I am aware of what Barry Hearn has achieved in sport in his life time, he is an amazing man and great respect for what he has done in every single sport he has gone into. He breaths passion into everything, after watching the documentary on him on bbc i player you could really get a feeling for what he has done for sports in the UK. I do feel he deserves a lot of the exposure on sky because of that, however making it all matchroom is a bit unfair IMO and it really is going to either make matchroom stable massive or boxnation might actually start to get more exposure. I think with matchroom being the monopoly they need to get even more bigger fights than they are providing now, but I think Eddie is a good promoter and hopefully we will see some great fights through him in the near future.

Tam at first I thought your were Carl Froch but now I am starting to believe you are really Eddie Hearns.
