Esco's camp want a second weigh in today with extra penalties to keep Broner from topping 140.

Broner has already been $60,000 for this - half going to Esco and half for the commission.
    everything about Broner screams douche

Broner, Rios, to name a few, what's going on they no they can't make the weight, taking the piss it's called. It does seem to be happening, to often, these's day's the fight goes on but advantage to them,
    just a bunch of cheats.

One has to ask: "Are the penalties severe enough to discourage this?"

What about the poor opponent who's left holding the bag? Who has spent months training responsibly only to find the opponent has made a sham of the whole process. Who has sacrificed to make the weight only to be told: "So sorry..... fight's off, unless you want to fight an opponent who outweighs you."

Time to add a little more accountability for fighters who don't make weight.

Those weight loss tablets innocently taken take on a whole new meaning when fighters cheat to make weight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

143.5 shows he just doesn't care. He weighed in at 133.5 yesterday and all he had to do was not gain anymore than 6.5 pounds overnight and he gains 9.5 pounds. So Escobedo is left with the options of calling off the fight and losing out on a payday that he and his team trained hard for or getting in the ring with a welterweight.
