Thinking the same. It wasn't a total dud. Manny and Arum need to come off this "TBA" already.
No shit eh. That TBA guy fights more then Len Wickwar lol.

Here is how I see it playing out and would like your thoughts.

Floyd with his release controls the show and decides to go with Cotto.
    Cotto will lose.
Oscar will then seize the moment and get a Canelo/Cotto fight. There simply is nothing better then the PR/MEX rivalry.
This on paper sets up Canelo vs Floyd w/o a whiff of Arum.

I prefer to see Cotto-Pac II than Cotto-Floyd II, at least for the moment. Cotto would probably lose again to Floyd, whereas I'm pretty certain he'd have a hell of a lot better chance to avenge his loss to Pac. If he beats Pac, and Floyd is open to a rematch with Cotto.... then hell.... why not?

1st of all, I would love to see both rematches myself.
    Okay . . .
Floyd is waiting on Pac and Arum to make a decision IMO. Cause with his release and a solid chance to upscale Manny for a bigger purse, Floyd is waiting for Manny to not pick Bradley so he can.

Manny vs Cotto would be great. But Cotto has said he will not come below 154 and even suggested he wanted to go to 160. Therefore Manny would have to come up to 154 in which he declared he wouldn't do. Then it was said that JMM outpriced himself. Cotto puts a lot more cheeks in seats then JMM. Saying that, Cotto would demand just as much if not more then JMM. So I can see Arum turning that fight down too.

If Manny was going to go up to 154, why Canelo is not an option? He might can even get Canelo to come down to 150. Demand a bigger purse. And Canelo also put cheeks in seats. I would love to see that fight. Canelo vs Pacman.

If Floyd wanted Canelo, he can get him. Problem is, 50 has a big ego.

    .
Doesn't Uncle Bob still promote Cotto as well? If so I don't see why he would turn this fight down, in fact he is probably the biggest player in the equation that can make the fight happen.

Also in regards to 50's ego, Floyd's is just as big if not bigger. 50 Cent will have 0 cents input (excuse the pun) when it comes to making decisions as to who Floyd fights. If this were the case Anthony Mundine mite be lined up to face Floyd next as apparently he and 50 hit it off when Mundine fought in Las Vegas. I know 50 and Floyd are business partners in "The Money Team" promotion company but I dare say Floyd handles the boxing side of things and 50 is in charge of rapping during the entrances of the fighters in their stable haaha!

I think Cotto fights Floyd too. I don't think Cotto fights Manny. Either he won't fight at 147 and Manny won't fight him at 154 or Arum won't make a fight with somebody he doesn't have under contract or a combination of these things prevent Manny Cotto happening. Floyd Cotto I can see happening, although Floyd looks like a lightweight in the pictures I've seen since he left jail. He might not fight again till next year.

The more and more this charade goes on the more and more I miss Oscar. Criticism aside at the height of his career he fought 6 times in a single year. God damn it Oscar why did you grow old?

Oh and Cotto Pac II would be fantastic due to the fact that this time Cotto will come with a fight plan rather than just haphazardly coming forward. As for who will win, that's entirely dependent on whether or not Manny has lost his step. He really needs to be able to turn and move because he does not have the defense of Mayweather and his offense is mainly based on his lateral movement over his hand speed. It will become a situation in which whoever manages to make his opponent walk backward will win as neither fighter are great at fighting on the back heel.

It sounds plausible yeh. I've been thinking Cotto v Mayweather rematch. Unless lightning strikes I think Mayweather takes it but Cotto is still viable but pending how he looks I'm not totally sold on Canelo being ready for either. Others will say just as quickly 'well there goes Alvarez facing another retread'. Canelo though young is overdue to put on his big boy pants and get some seasoning and pummeling jr welterweights is not how you prep for some of the big timers. I see Angulo is back and with a win or two Oscar could serve him up? Maybe not on name but style wise, he and Canelo could cause sparks for as long as it last.

Nah. Pacquiao won't fight cotto at 154.That's too heavy for pacquiao. He can't fight at that weight. Cotto should fight floyd. Manny should fight marquez or bradley. For me I want Marquez vs Pacquiao and then Mayweather vs Cotto.

Totally pointless fight at this point IMO. I read somewhere that Cotto wanted to fight Bundrage or go up in weight and fight WBO middleweight belt holder Pirog. I think Cotto should fight Bundrage and then the winner fight Canelo and maybe Mayweather will fight the winner and unify the junior middle division.

I thought he rescheduled the fight for December 1st so that he could focus completely on training.

    Cotto V Floyd 2 (NO)

    Cotto V Pac 2 (YES)

Cotto could beat Pacman now, i don't think he ever beats Floyd.
