As for Roy, I truly believe that to this very day no one has come or gone that could have beaten him. I do hope this won't always be the case, simply because it would mean that 160-175 peaked in the 90's. I always dynamic and new changes to the sport. I have no problem saying that as great as The Brown Bomber Joe Louis was, he was wide open to overhand rights and a great tall heavyweight with a good chin, educated jab and a chopping heavy handed cross would have been a nightmare for him. But I digress... It is always exciting to see new talent surpass the benchmark that was set by old legends. It's even more exciting to be there live and to see it happen.
Yes... Same thing I say about Ali being open for left hooks all day long and the roy that fought Ruiz would have given him fits in a 12 round fight.

If one of the greatest left hookers ever could not cause too much damage and lose to Ali twice then what chance would Roy Jones have. Sure it may land with some speed but it will not have much effect. Could Roy tale Ali’s punches and deal with Ali’s speed? The way Ali beat Foster would be the way Ali would beat Jones.

I said he would have given him fits, not beat him. And Ali's speed would come to reality when placed next to Jones.

Dude the second Ali connected with a good punch or close to a good punch its lights out for Roy he would not have the balls to get in the ring with Ali anyhow he would get killed in there.

I don't think Prime RJJ would have problem stepping in the ring with Ali because he wasn't a super large heavy... Again, no one said he would beat Ali. But a 200lbs Jones plus his speed would give him fits until the hypothetical point of Ali connecting...

If you were to ask Roy to step in the ring to fight a prime Ali i think he would demand 100 million dollars to do so or he would not even consider it i think your more confiedent then Roy would be.

Hey man, RJJ, Love that dude. I just think that from what I've seen of him since 1988. Ali wasn't that large of a heavyweight so at 200lbs vs a prime ali who during his prime never was over 220 and usually hovering around 213. A prime, undefeated RJJ I don't think he would have had a problem doing that. I just think people are judging him based of the latter stages of his career, not how confident he was when he p4p 1 for so many years.

Just like I believe the undefeated and confident SSM that beat ODLH in the first fight would beat any version of PBF.
