Obama crushes, Fox News melts down, both rape candidates lose, Democrats gain in the senate, marijuana legalized in Colorado and Washington, gay marriage passes in Maryland, Maine and probably Washington while a ban fails in Minnesota

Well well well, now after Obama wins it seems you can jump aboard the 'Fair Weather Freighter' and support the guy that you have said will lead America to ruin in a slower manner than Romney. Perhaps you suffer from "Romnesia" or what's more likely is that you're an asshole.

How are the markets responding to the idea of 4 more years of Obama? From the looks of things, not....too.....good.

It shows whether or not the job creators have any faith in a 2nd term of Obama....I guess that doesn't matter because the people who voted for Barry aren't working anyway. They only care that they don't have to riot which would be the most work they've done in years.

Oh that's precious Kirkland you've even gone into the future and gotten 2013's numbers as well.

    DOW: -136.85
    NASDAQ: -39.63
    S&P: -14.95

But I'm certain Obama will have some good news in these 4 years, I mean it's not like he'll go back to blaming Bush again

And once again why defend Obama? You said "It doesn't matter who gets elected" or were you just hedging your bets?

Lyle, you are absurd. Wall Street does not keep jobs at home nor expand home based industries. The markets mean nothing, they invested in Romney. That is all.

Your entire election gambit was based on comedy and unfortunately, you are now a laughing stock.

    No, that's up to today.

And the markets are off by a point or two because of a bunch of bad economic news in europe and the fact that now the prez -- whoever got elected last night -- has to deal with a big budget problem before the end of the year.

NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks dropped on Wednesday as investors renewed their focus on a looming fiscal showdown in Congress after the re-election of President Barack Obama, and comments by European Central Bank President Mario Draghi fed concern about Europe's debt crisis....

"The election is over, nothing changed. It was fun, but it's kind of like a roller coaster - you just end up where you started but there was lots of excitement in the middle of it," said Ron Florance, managing director of investment strategy for Wells Fargo Private Bank based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"We are now squarely focused on what are you going to do about the fiscal cliff and how is Europe going to resolve this (debt crisis) problem, those two problems haven't gone away."

And I'm "defending Obama" because you're wrong about why the markets have dropped. When there's an agreement on US budget issues and europe issues yet another plan to kick the can down the road then markets will jump a few points but the Drudge Report won't tell you about that. Again, it's another irrelevance. If you want to know what the markets think of Kenyan socialism you need to look at things over a slightly longer period than five minutes. Try looking at the graph I posted.

No, the man went AWOL long before. Mars too. I imagine they were both probably rather disappointed with the result. Lots of funny images in this thread too.

Yeah, it's good that gay marriage is gaining credence. I fail to understand how one could be against that. The weed thing I couldn't care less about and think there are far bigger things to be concerned with.

Like I have said before, it is foreign policy that most bugs me about America and obviously Obama is in many ways worse than Bush was.

I recall after the last election being pleased about it being the end of Bush. I quickly learned my mistake and during the last term have really grown up politically. I have read a lot more and varied my source material and it has lead to huge political disenchantment and me becoming largely a political atheist. Obama talks of the public being the big difference, but it is largely delusional people adhering to a particular faith. If you actually look at the evidence it is a lot of smoke, mirrors and falsities. In terms of foreign policy it is just a lot of picking and choosing and there is NO consistency.

The sad thing is that Obama is smart and I think that is the biggest let down. He supports illegality and supposedly the man is versed in law. That is the distressing thing. He knows law, yet is beyond law and knows no bounds.

So I'm supposed to be here 24/7? So Obama won and people are wanting to gloat, ok go ahead. We'll see if 8 years is enough to "fix what Bush did"....who oh who will they blame when that runs out of steam?

Yay, you are alive. Jolly good to see.

Personally, I am not gloating. Obama will achieve little in his term. However, I struggle to imagine Romney doing anything either. His plans were just a jumble to make people foolish people believe he had something. It made no sense.

What bugs me is the lack of reason and critical thinking in the media. Just take the following article and dismantle it. This is what we have on the front page of Yahoo. This is the kind of news that most news readers will digest. When you read thousands of stories like this, you are indoctrinated to think that it is the right of America to do something to a sovereign state like Iran. It is just so blatant and obvious. This is the kind of nonsense that is being spoonfed now. Does anyone not recall what happened to Iraq and how the ball started rolling? Lessons have not been learned and I predict this will be the next stage in a long planned attack on Iran. Security for Israel is the goal and the imperial grand strategy must be maintained. Obama is just the voicepiece. I hope I'm wrong, but we will have America continuing to have a massive disparity of wealth distribution and long term unemployment and thus Obama needing to distract attention from all of that with a good fashioned conquest of the bad guy. It has all been set up. I hope I'm wrong, but the warning signs have been there a while. The fact that stories like this are being wheeled out so soon is not a good sign. The agenda setting has started.

hahaha, well Lyle, in fairness you have to know it is all good in this area. And had Romney won you guys would be on a massive obnoxious troll too. I'm guessin for at least 4 years.

Can you give me your thoughts on the other elections last night, the house or w/e? I didn't really pay attention to it too closely so not sure how things went, or what it means. Only one I was clued to was Bachmann, because of all the interest in her and the crazy eyes and xenophobia. I know she won.
