Given how close all 3 first fights were, I'd say Pacquiao getting pancaked like that kind of does lose him the war I do think Marquez should give him another fight though, but there's a very good chance Pacquiao won't recover from that and return to form. If I were you I'm not sure I'd even want to see that. And if a fifth fight doesn't happen, Marquez most certainly walks away having gotten the better of it.

Pacquiao without question has a better legacy than Marquez though, what he did for a few years was incredible and Marquez couldn't have possibly duplicated it imo.

Anti pac can say what ever they want but those are just opinions and not facts.

All other fights ended in questionable decisions that had commentators, boxing experts, other boxers, and the public give it to JMM. This fight didn't give any kind of opportunity for anybody to doubt who won. JMM got knocked down and came back up. Pacquiao got knocked down and couldn't even move a finger to try to get up and almost left the ring in stretchers. Something Pacquiao couldn't do in his past fights with him. Pacquiao said this fight would erase any doubts of who really won past fights and would win decisively. Unfortunately, it was Pacquiao who ended up almost in a coma.

add in that Marquez never had a weak excuse after "losing" to Manny that wasn't true, for example getting the shaft from the judges, Pacquiao's excuses have ranged from his socks all the way to having Parkinson's symptoms

I dont see any reason why they should ruin a perfect story ending.. Marquez ended all speculation by putting Pacquiao into a coma for 5 minutes so what else is there to prove really.. Nobody ever wanted to see Williams-Martinez 3 or Hearns-Duran 2 despite all of them being equal talents so no reason for a 5th pac fight. This battle is settled and it's old already..

The ones who really know Boxing already knew that Marquez is the superior fighter long time ago and he confirmed our belief ...

The amount of rematches that pac took ought to show you how confident he was that the public thought he'd won.

Every rematch was an attempt by Pac to convincingly beat JMM, because the pac camp knew that a sizeable majority of boxing fans didn't think Pac deserved the descisions. There would have been no rematches at all had his wins been clear or had he been able to knock Marquez out cold.

Typical fan boy behaviour, dismissing everything as 'hating' or being 'anti pac'.

Genuine fight fans are unbiased, it's not just Marquez fans who think he was repeatedly robbed. Why?

Marquez is already saying that he doesn't want a fight in April. I can guarantee we see Pacquiao versus Marquez V at the end of the year. Marquez doesn't want to avenge his loss to Floyd. He doesn't want (or need to) take risky fights with young lions. Who else is there for him to fight? This isn't a question of whether the score is settled. If you think about it, the fight really is the best move Marquez can make. He'll be favored heavily. Compared to a fight with a young lion or Mayweather, it has a good risk/reward ratio.

Who is Marquez going to fight? This is an obvious ploy to gain bargaining position. In recent times, Marquez has only fought two boxers where going into the fights, there were thoughts he might lose: Mayweather and Pacquiao. Other than that, it's been spoon-fed opposition. So, there is NO way Marquez will face Bradley, or any other tough competitor at 140-147. Nacho said as much in an interview (re: Bradley). If Marquez is going to risk losing, he's going to do it against Pacquiao.

Hardly the first name that comes to mind when considering boxers who are spoon fed opponents. He would beat Bradley comfortably. He should fight Garcia if he can meet the weight challenge. Pick up a few belts in the process.

Remove Floyd and Manny from his CV and in the last 5 years he faced: Michael Kastidis, Likar Ramos (Who?), Serhiy Fedchenko, and Juan Diaz.

Not a who's-who list of killers by any stretch. This is at a time where there have been many tougher options at or around his weight class. I get it, he's 39, and entitled to earn his money. Why take the risk of losing and throwing away a multi-million dollar pay day? So, I'm not saying what he is doing doesn't make perfect business sense. It's just, outside Floyd and Manny, Marquez's choice of opponents in the last five years could be a lot better. He's no Carl Froch when it comes to taking on the toughest options.

How can you be so sure he would beat Bradley comfortably? He didn't look amazing against Kastidis, or against Fedchenko, if you consider that it was Fedchenko. Other than Floyd, when was the last time he fought a boxer (in terms of style) in (or near) his prime? Chris John? You get my point.

By the way, this is by no means an argument that Marquez doesn't deserve the bargaining leverage against Pacquiao after annihilating him in their last fight.

You gotta be the biggest poor sport. Get over it Pac is done! JMM does not owe him a rematch in about another 3 years. Like Pac did to him and we all know in 3 years JMM will be way too old. Except in the ARUM school of cherry picking opponents.
