If you can't make the weight, don't fight at that division. Simple as.

Rather than doing this, would it not be easier to make a weightclass for every pound between 100 & 350. We need 250 weight divisions and a diamond belt in each! Yeno...for clarity.

148lbs is light-mini-junior-middleweight. If you're willing to jump up to 149lbs, you can become super-light-mini-junior-middleweight champion of the world. That is the dream anyway.
