Ifs ands or buts sadly have no place in boxing, we can speculate as to who'll win but by the sheer fact that upsets happen we can never know for sure.

I enjoy Ward because I enjoy Hopkins fight as well. I can understand why some/many do not but in all honesty his fight against Dawson was not boring. Also since he is the man of the division he can shit talk anyone he's beaten before. It is after all the right of the conqueror over the conquered.

That being said I am genuinely surprised that Froch isn't in most people's top 10 p4p. Really the man is great and people's obsession with an undefeated fighter is just silly. How Broner and Canelo are considered better than him is beyond me.

I'll even say this. I think he is the best British fighter post Lennox Lewis era.

He may have a nice list of names on his record but he has a loss to someone Calzaghe beat and Calzaghe faced the highly rated undefeated version and this was all at the same weight. So therefore Calzaghe must be the best fighter Britain has produced.

Lewis had a nice longish career at world level but was very inconsistent, getting knocked out twice, a draw, a couple of gift decisions then ending his last fight flopping on to his stool spent.

Lewis was a good fighter but he could be beaten

If I may, all boxers can be beaten, it should not being a notch against their greatness. It merely exemplifies the wide array of challengers they faced.

I agree with you. I dont think an unbeaten record is the be all end all but Lewis showed he was never invincible. He never had a continued period where people thought he may never be beaten. Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather and Joe Calzaghe all had an air of invincibility (Mike Tyson did, regardless of what some revisionists in here would have you believe) but with people like Lewis and Froch there is always someone around that everyone more or less knows is capable of beating them.

Froch has had a very good career and because of the super six id go as far as saying he has over achieved because we all know without it, he wouldnt have been brought to the worlds attention and would still happily be fighting middleweights and untested contenders. Just look at his last fight. a jounerman lightheavy made to drain himself down. I didnt understand that fight because Mack isnt really a name. They could have got a faded name and it may have been a bigger event, if no more dangerous, although im imagining a Pavlik fight would have sold massive.

Regardless, he is strong and has stamina but he just doesnt have the skill to overcome certain styles and I dont think he will overcome Kessler.

Regardless of that, I do expect a good fight.

    So do I.

They could milk a third fight for their pensions depending on the result. Could even be a draw?

Im putting an acumulator on Kessler, Char and Chilemba to win.
