Zimmerman's story: Treyvon punched him in the face, got on top of him and smashed the back of his head into the concrete.

Zimmerman's injuries: broken nose and wounds on the back of his head.

...these aren't consistent with his story?

Also, the damage was documented by pictures and video taken by cops right after it happened.

Zimmerman did nothing illegal by following Treyvon. His story is that he stopped following him when the dispatcher told him to... but even if he didn't, he has absolutely no legal obligation to obey the suggestions of a dispatcher.

And you don't think it's wrong for a news program to carefully edit and skew an audio clip of someone to make them seem like a racist to the entire human population?

How stupid are you, dude? You're talking complete nonsense.

Please explain to me what evidence you have that lead you to believe that Zimmerman shot this guy in cold blood and then self-inflicted some wounds to make his story believable.

It boggles my mind how someone could come to that conclusion.

Ok guys.... one of these versions is incorrect.
Which one is it, I have no idea.
But obviously they're at the heart of the matter.
Has this been conclusively determined one way or the other?

The picture that was taken of him with his nose busted was him in the back of the squad car when they arrived. This is 100% solid.

Then again maybe he punched his own nose after he shot him, then slammed own head against something to create the damage in the few split seconds between him shooting Treyvon and the witnesses coming out to see what was going on after hearing the gunshot...

If it has been established beyond a shadow of a doubt that Zimmerman suffered those injuries while being assaulted by Treyvon, then a self-defense verdict is highly likely. Everything else is irrevelant. It's irrevelant that Zimmerman may be a trashy human being. It's irrevelant that Zimmerman may have followed Treyvon simply because he was black, thus being guilty of the worst stereotyping. It's irrevelant that Treyvon was unarmed, because with those types of injuries, Zimmerman's life was likely in danger.

One can over-analyze this case and throw all kinds of angles at it. The simple fact is that it was either manslaughter by Zimmerman, or self-defense. And if Florida law provides the right for a man to defend himself via use of a firearm, then there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. People who seek to make this into a black-vs-white case are missing the forest for the trees.

In what states is it an offense to carry a concealed weapon or is that cool over there?

I think Illinois is the only state that doesn't issue concealed carry licenses and they have a bill in their state legislation to change that. That being said the devil is in the details. The actual procedure to get licenses and then places you are actually allowed to carry vary greatly from state to state. Arizona is probably the most lenient state I've been in regarding ease to get licensed and then general community and law enforcement state to do it. I've also heard that Utah is very pro-carry. Some states are now allowing open carry as well. Texas doesn't but Arizona does.
