It is the accumulation of evidence. The amateur pedigree. The efficiency of his technique. Those short hooks and his natural marching of the opponents into corners. The testimony of sparring partners. The views of those who box, train and know the game. The opposition may not have been great but he has hardly been managed. He has been crying out for sterner competition and that speaks of confidence. He does not come across as arrogant and that will help him to not underestimate anybody. He has power in both hands and a killer instinct to finish people quickly. He can be hit but his chin appears OK so far and Macklin will be a step up, but GG is improving and I think Matthew has hit his peak already. By that I do not mean he is declining, far from it but Golovkin is already better and accelerating away. Will be a great fight though.
You know he almost had me convinced that the world was ducking him and was looking more and more like a fighter that pedigree would suggest he should be and then I watched the Rosado fight. Sure Gabriels corner chucked in the towel but this immoveable GGG force looked anything but and took a lot of shots almost looking a tad buzzed at times by a guy who is just an average puncher. Kinks in the armor were shown in that fight. Seems like a nice enough guy. I just don't think he's as unstoppable as some do.
A fight with either Dirrell or Ward is possible...
