It is the accumulation of evidence. The amateur pedigree. The efficiency of his technique. Those short hooks and his natural marching of the opponents into corners. The testimony of sparring partners. The views of those who box, train and know the game. The opposition may not have been great but he has hardly been managed. He has been crying out for sterner competition and that speaks of confidence. He does not come across as arrogant and that will help him to not underestimate anybody. He has power in both hands and a killer instinct to finish people quickly. He can be hit but his chin appears OK so far and Macklin will be a step up, but GG is improving and I think Matthew has hit his peak already. By that I do not mean he is declining, far from it but Golovkin is already better and accelerating away. Will be a great fight though.
You know he almost had me convinced that the world was ducking him and was looking more and more like a fighter that pedigree would suggest he should be and then I watched the Rosado fight. Sure Gabriels corner chucked in the towel but this immoveable GGG force looked anything but and took a lot of shots almost looking a tad buzzed at times by a guy who is just an average puncher. Kinks in the armor were shown in that fight. Seems like a nice enough guy. I just don't think he's as unstoppable as some do.
A fight with either Dirrell or Ward is possible...
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Golovkin brings excitement into boxing, that's what big punchers do,! lets face it you can't
beat watching a KO artist, he has the pedigree and he is producing the goods what more
can you ask.!![]()
I just ordered my ticket for the Golovkin fight on the 29th. I hemmed and hawed a bit as my two buddies who have an interest in boxing can not go and my wife ain't feeling it so I needed to decide if it would be any fun to go myself. In the end I decided I better jump on it while money and time allow. I am sitting about twenty rows back from the ring. It will be my first fight so I am hoping it's a good one.
Golovkin's team says he can still make 154.....fight vs Floyd anyone![]()
I think after Martinez retires (I hate to say it but I think he should, though i love the guy) one of these middleweights really need to clean up the division and pull a Klitschko and make everyone their bitch.
Hey, is anyone else here going to this fight. I'm go to be their. Is anyone familiar with the undercard, any look promising. I am going for Matthew although it will be a tough evening for him. Might drop a few bucks on him for good measure. This will be my first pro fight. We have two very big Casinos here in CT. So hopefully it won't be my last.
Jealous. You got Tommy Oos_____, the South African kid on the undercard too. Should be good.
My opinion is that if Golovkin is the fighter a lot of people are making him out to be, Macklin might be in over his head. Macklin needs to box like he did in the Sergio Martinez fight for the first few rounds, but do it the whole fight. If he stands in front of Golovkin, he'll get beat up.
