You all bit like idiots at Furys daft price split statement. Who is more stupid? Fury or those who believed him?

Hes certainly still the most talked about heavy.
I don't think he is, maybe in the UK yes, but I believe the Klitschkos and Haye are probably talked about more if you consider that people in the Ukraine and the east in general probably know nothing about the bullshit he talks.

To be fair Ross, you're calling us idiots?

If I call you an idiot it's an opinion.

But if everyone calls you an idiot then it probably means your an idiot.

    Idiot.

For an 11 fight novice with stamina issues Carl Thompson was just about the last person he should have faced. The man was an absolute warrior that never quit, never knew when he was beat and never stopped firing back, even when seemingly out on his feet. He outlasted Haye but in retrospect it really isn't that much of a shock, nor should it be given much prominence when assessing Haye's current abilities.
    Im not.

Im saying when Haye was at the same stage of his career as Fury is now, he was thought of as fragile etc. Judging Fury now, a contender, yet to challenge for a title against a seasoned world campaigner isn't fair. Fury has another six and a half years before he's been a pro as long as Haye. Im fed up of people writing Fury off becuase he's shown a few vulnerabilities. He's shown he's not as vulnerable as Haye was as no one has managed to stop him yet so give him a break. He's doing what he's paid to, entertain us. Would you prefer another jab and grab boring Wlad, Hopkins, Ward?

If Fury got his shot against Wlad, he might lose, he might even get stopped but it would be fun while it lasted and Wlad would be made to fight, unlike Hayes poor effort that for the life of me I don't want to see repeated and he's done nothing to deserve another crack.

That was arguably the best thing that ever happened to Haye. By the time he fought Mormeck, not only had he purposely gone 12 rounds, but also realised that not everyone will crumble the second he lands flush.

The difference is Haye looked good in his fights. Fury has not.

    Which ones?

    Abdul? Mock? Thompson? Fragomeni?

He has good power, that cant be denied but in those fights and others he looked very vulnerable, on the verge of losing to Mock and Fragomeni and these were all before fighting Mormeck. He looked as poor and vulnerable as Fury ever has

Yes he looked good against Mock, apart from the minute where he was floored he looked good and was winning rounds. Fury didnt look good at all against Cunningham and landed an illegal punch to win. If he wasnt 5 stone heavier then his opponent he wouldnt be able to lean on him until he tires out. Hes almost like homer simpson fighting.

I really hope they fight this year so you can se how wrong you are. You are so clueless about boxing. Have no idea what makes a skilled fighter and have no idea on how fighters matchup against each other.

Ross, ive been reading and contributing on the serveral threads that you are also contributing to that seem to be discussing david haye in several scenarios

In this one are you saying that Fury is better than Haye?

Do you think Fury will beat haye?

As long as he comes in dsiciplined like he did against Johnson which I think he will do then yes.

He looked an oaf in the first round against Cunningham just asking for the right hand, Cunningham gave it to him in the second then Fury was left trying to get back in to it, which to his credit he did. Had he used his jab then Cunningham may have been stopped earlier. He had no respect for Cunningham, in the lead up to the fight, he paid him no respect, calling him a small heavy etc. in fact the only respect he showed was to acknowledge that Cunningham was the only fighter to accept the fight.

Fury is one of the very few heavies around that throws lots of punches. Haye has been out a while now.

One day I was at home with nothing to when I heard an announcer, I believe it was one of those NBC sports show and I saw this guy Tyson Fury. I will be the first to admit I don't know anything about him but what I saw was supposed to be his American debut and I am not even sure which channel I watched so I poured a beer and I watched and said that this guy must be having a bad night, Tyson that is. This guy was swinging from the rafters and finally after a while the fight is stopped or did I fall asleep and see his hand raised. I saw Haye fight once and that was against Klitsko it was boring too so maybe they will surprise us and actually have a fight. If they don't, just keep a pillow handy if you are an insomniac because no drugs will be in your system and I think you'll finally get the rest you deserve. As for the money, let them play games there are plenty of other fights to watch. We can't agree on what fights were the so called turning points of either man's career and all I have to go on is what I read. I'll watch the fight and keep a pillow handy but on paper it's Haye but then again I only saw each guy once and I thought I was up to date. Guess I was wrong!

read ross post carefully he is not saying Fury is the next big superstar all he is doing is re-iterating what he has achieved and comparing it.
