I'll watch it but not live. It's going to be horrible to watch. Price will box in a way that makes Klitschko Junior look exciting and bore his way to a points victory. I'd spend the whole fight willing him to get sparked by Thompson for boring me and Thompson will let me down. Hope I'm wrong.
Ha!
At least I managed to watch it without knowing the result beforehand.
It's alright saying you're going to work on your stamina but if you're fucked liked that after three rounds then you're fucked at world level. Even if it was nerves that ate all his energy he's going to be in exactly the same nervous condition even fighting somebody like Fury, never mind a Klitschko. Even without the stamina thing, facing a decently-skilled boxer he looked like a fucking carthorse. He's got a big punch and that's it.
Thats one thing where Fury excels is stamina and work rate. Even when he looked like a fat useless slob he still threw a lot of punches. No matter how much shit I get or master, who seems to be the only other person who can look at Fury objectively in here without following the pack. The same pack that all thought Price was the business and that hed ruin Thompson first time round. No matter how much shit we get Tyson is producing the goods. He may have had a few tough moments but he hasn't been beaten like Haye and Price AND Wlad were against journeymen. He is showing promise.
He is still young and is still improving and we have seen him drag himslf out of shit situations, even when looking in worse condition than Price. He has learnt the hard and right way and is more experienced than both Haye and Wlad at 21 fights.![]()
Price and Fury are BOTH shit, that's as objective as it gets. FACT![]()
People believed Wlad was "done at the world level" too....then came the Sam Peter fight and he just kept building on his successes. I'm not saying it's 100% guaranteed Price will go that route, but I believe Price has a better chance of doing that since it has been done in his lifetime by one of his peers.
Tyson Fury to me looks like the kind of guy who will lose and then just suffer a horrible dip in form. I think price will right the ship, but his management and trainers need to be careful and pay close attention to detail to ensure he gets there.
You are clearly only bolstering Price in order to make Tony Thompson look great and therefore increase the stock of Wlads two wins over him. How many degrees of separation do you need to refrain from putting a Klitschko angle on your posts. Price got beat by a man who Wlad beat, better make it out like he's actually a good fighter just in case all things point to the Klitschkos for anyone else around hereRelax Lyle, this doesn't affect anyones opinion of Wladimir, he's still great, Tony Thompson was a solid win for him the first time.
Pfffft, no Wlad's wins look just fine on their own. I'm big upping Thompson because he has NEVER gotten any respect in the division and he could do that to damn near anyone. He's a very good albeit not flashy American heavyweight.
Who would have thought that Tony Thompson would be THE American Heavyweight and not Seth Mitchell or anyone else? Quite shocking, but it shouldn't have been because he put forth a valiant effort vs Wlad.
I just think people are being too harsh on Price....it's like they want him to retire already....ridiculous.
As I said, Thompson has been a damn fine HW contender and was very underrated for a bunch of years. I don't know how you can say beating Price puts him head and shoulders above anyone else, or anything we already knew he was. Bryant Jennings would have a great chance to beat Thompson if you ask me, but I'm not going to argue that he's the most credible American HW today, however sad as that may be. It's my opinion that Price just isn't very good, I don't care if he retires or not but I don't see a lot of promise for him.
