The killers in that era had no problems facing each other but would Floyd get in that mix?

Floyd could have held his own an any era.

This sentiment is typical of the old timers in all sports: NBA, MLB, NFL, etc. They all believe their era was better and tougher.

Guys like Leonard, Hearns and Duran had to deal with the same criticism from their predecessors during their heyday. The only difference is that there is more media attention and exposure for people to express their opinions.
