He can take the amir khan route and make tonnes of money staying clear of a certain type of fighter.

You could make a case of khan getting a decision against garcia or prescott if it happened now but nathan will never EVER beat that russian.

Either way, nathan gets props for asking for that fight and wanting to prove himself.
He still has youth on his side...
The thing with Cleverly is that he can't take the Amir Khan route. He just doesn't sell tickets and Box Nation doesn't pay nearly as much as Sky does. Cleverly had a fight against some east european guy at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff lined up a year or so ago but the tickets weren't selling so they cancelled it and he ended up fighting on some undercard in America. Even the Kovalev fight there were huge numbers of unsold seats. People just weren't going to buy tickets to see him until he'd proved himself so him and Warren rolled the dice against Kovalev. Basically they didn't have any other choices. And in his first proper test he got blown away.

It's going to be a really tough road back for him if he even does continue. Him and Enzo Mac would be an absolute war if it happened but Cleverly has a maths degree and may decide getting battered for small purses isn't something he wants to do.

I am sure Cleverly would not mind fighting Enzo at cruiserweight as a comeback fight.

He said he may go up in weight which implies he may be struggling to make light heavy.

or he realized that the talent pool is a lot shallower at Cruiser than it is at LT Heavy

I am sure he wanted it at light heavy so Froch could be a 2 time champ. I bet Froch regrets not taking the offer now.

Easier imaginary money. Clev-Froch never had a chance in hell of happening. Did you see how packed that venue was the weekend? It was set up for 5000 people and looked half empty. That was poor old Clev's biggest ever fight. Not even the Welsh support him

Clevery has LOST ONE FIGHT, hardly ending of a career is it,! weather he continues to
    boxing is up to him.
Remember a lot of people call fighters bums, really that's a crock of shit any ONE who gets in
that ring has got balls,as I sit here at this key board the only chance I have of getting hurt is
if I spill my tea over myself.!
Lets take things into context, getting smacked about the head and body is painful boxing is
the ultimate warrior sport, second to none.!
I no a few of you box, great respect to you my son has boxed and suffered injury requiring
    surgery because of boxing.
So chaps before we call them, bums crap shit etc, remember blood plenty of it sweat and tears,
easy to criticize but hard to do.!

shame really I bet it would have been a different story if he was a matchroom fighter he would have had a more appealing undercards with reese n selby for the welsh instead of enzo
